Small and efficient

Great little box for the hose in front of the garage. Not too big, no need to "crank" hose, looks good and is easy to keep clean. Great pricing on Amazon....better than Walmart in store price.

LOVE THIS STORAGE SEAT

I purchased 3 of these from Amazon.com and I am thrilled with them. I put them together in 5 minutes or less each. I have them on my front porch as end tables for my swing and chair. They are also extra seats if I need them. I was surprised at how much can be stored in each one. They are wonderful and I love the Suncast product. I have two Suncast storage benches/seats, also, and a suncast tall two door storage cabinet. They all stay dry and were all extremely easy to put together by this 63 year old woman all by myself with no tools needed! THANK YOU, SUNCAST!!!

The tarp is typical of others I have purchased in the past. I purchased because of the UV Treatment. Only time in the hot desert sun will tell if it is any better than other brands. Tne other tarps of this type of material don,t last in the wind and hot sun.

Poorly Made Tarp

While the tarp arrived in a reasonable time for ground shipping, I was disappointed in the quality. It is not Super Heavy Duty as advertised. The grommets were irregular and asymetrical side to side and one was installed protruding over the edge.

A previous tarp ordered from the same company was better than what I received this time which is why I reordered. Although I didn't return it, I used it "as is" anyway because of the necessity to cover my boat. I will not order this tarp again from this company because of their lack of quality control.

These tarps are extremely heavy compared to big-box store tarps. Haven't tested it timewise for durability, but this will last a heck of a lot longer than the cheap tarps. Recommended.

replacing after 10 months

I bought this to cover an outdoor pingpong table from occasional rain, and am very disappointed. Th tarp has a huge rip and is now almost unusable. I am having to replace it after use less than one year. We live in Southern California so it only rained a few times.

enormous, decent quality

i bought this tarp to protect our patio furniture during the winter months. i've used it one winter. it kept the furniture dry. it's not a really high quality tarp. it seems like it would tear fairly easily, and it seems fairly thin, but these are merely perceptions. i have not conducted any scientific tests or comparisons. but i can tell you it kept our stuff dry for one winter, and i play to use it again next winter.

This is a well priced tarp and larger, 12 x 16,than several smaller ones I have. It's 5 mm thick. Nice and light to move around. Need to anchor if there is any wind. Durability is unknown. So far, so good.

Works ok, but needs tighter fitting hose

This appears well build and I expect it to last a long time, the biggest issue I had was the black plastic expandable hose that comes with it does not fit very tight. On the first hard rain, it came lose and I didn't collect much water. I solved the problem by buying a hose clamp and clamping the hose on. They should enclose one of these in the package, then I give 5 stars.

Works Great; I purchased my own connector hose

The Rain Reserve works great, and is very well engineered, in my opinion. I purchased the basic kit, and the only complaint I have is the pictures on the boxes I received show a different hose than what is included. What is included is the black corrugated flex hose pictured here, so I received what Amazon had pictured. This is a fault of the manufacturer, not Amazon.

I had researched this item quite a bit, and did notice that some web sites showed the actual box picture (like the boxes I received) with a white hose. Given this anomaly, I had suspected they made changes in the kit contents at some point. Unfortunately, it would appear the changes were made to maximize profit.

The included black corrugated hose is very cheap, and I did not feel comfortable with how it fit into the rain reserve reservoir connection. So, I went to my local home improvement center and found a 1.25" diameter (1.00" I.D.) clear poly hose that fit into the rain reserve reservoir very well. I used this hose to make the connection between the rain reserve and the rain barrel. This hose cost around $1.20 per foot at Menards (for a 20 foot piece); Home Depot was twice the cost per foot, but you could get it cut to length. I was installing multiple barrels, so I just purchased a 20 foot length. I also used both reservoir exits and connected two hoses to feed one barrel, so the extra hose was not going to waste.

The barrels I use are the 55 gallon plastic drums with two bung plugs. I mount the barrel upside down, and the water exits from one of the bung plugs via a mix of PVC parts; the other bung plug is sealed. On the top of the inverted barrel, I screwed in 1" (gray) PVC hose connection fittings with male threads after making a hole with a hole saw. The benefit of this sealed barrel system is when the barrel (and then hose to the rain reserve) fills up, all the water runs down the downspout. Also, not mosquitoes can access the water supply.

Best diverter system I have seen...

i initially got the idea of building a rain barrel from my relatives that live overseas in an area of drought... i was initially going to build the diverter system similar to how i have seen previous designs, but for the price of this diverter kit, i figured it would take less time to just buy it...

even though it was the most expensive part I bought for my whole rain barrel setup, it was the best money that i spent as it worked flawlessly... the day after i installed the set up, we got some massive overnight rain which filled up 1.1 barrels... no leaks and it looked great... i haven't seen the overflow at work yet since we haven't gotten rain since then, and i have slowly used up some of the waters in the barrels already...

the only flaw i saw was that the mounting tab (where you screw the unit into the house)has a slight crack on the housing... but since it is not within the path of the water, there is no leaks... when i disconnect the system for the winter, I will take it apart and seal up the crack with some RTV silicone...

Very confusing instructions...

The instructions on this item are very difficult to follow, and it's very difficult (if impossible...) to find adapters and extra pieces.

I've had a rain barrel for a year and simply took out the downspout and used flexible tubing to route the rain water to the barrel. It worked but was unsightly and ungainly.

This diverter was a bit more work to install than I expected but it went in and is working as advertised. I haven't been here during a heavy rain to see if it is overflowing at the diverter but so far it looks like it is operating properly and my barrel is full.

I would recommend it.
