Just what I was looking for

I received this brand-new, in the package, with no flaws. It seems like a sturdy, hard-working hanging shelf, and I think we'll be very happy together.

used! cannot tell if blood or rust

I bought the white because it was the cheapest. clearly this was a used product. multiple corners have what looks like either dried blood or rust. I would give this NO stars if possible. This is beyond awful and reprehensible!

Is this the quality of product now from Amazon? And I will have to pay to return it?

Easy and Helpful Closet Addition

I just needed something easy to help organize my closet. These things in general take up a lot of space so sometimes its hard to figure out how to maneuver everything, but it seems to be working well thus far. The top is held by velcro, which I was nervous about, but it hasn't failed me yet!

Rating :

Not real impressed

I am not real impressed with this product since it does not offer any support on the bottom of the shelves, except for the very bottom one. The shelves sag into the next space down. I would not buy this again.

Rating :

Very sturdy

I bought this organizer to replace an old flimsy one. This one is very roomy and sturdy. There 2 separate Velcro strips to hang on a closet rod so there is no worry about falling off. The shelves are very roomy. I have 2-3 bulky sweaters per shelf as well as 2 medium size bags. I only ordered 2 to start with and used one in my closet and put the other one in my daughter's closet. I'll definitely order more for other closets

Customer Review :

I wish I would have bought one of these earlier!!

I really wish I would have bought one of these bra bags earlier, I would have saved a lot of money and a lot of bras!!
I have washed bras by hand, and in the washer, it seems that my bras would basically end up destroyed only after a few washes.
I heard about these bags before and I finally decided to give it a try.... I am so glad I did.
I have had this for about 2 months now and the new bras I have washed in it, they are still like new even after multiple washings.
There is also a zipper on the bottom and you can put panties, stalkings or other small items in it at the same time.
I can fit 2 (D cup) bras into the bag at once, without any issue.
I do think that if someone has a larger cup size it might not fit... might need a larger bag.
I am going to order 2 more bags so I can wash more than 2 bras at once.
I absolutely love this bag!!

Perfect for small items

I bought these to wash my bras in the washer and it definitely serves the purpose. I also use it sometimes, to wash other small items like socks, or my baby's booties, onesies etc. It's definitely worth the money!

Rating :

Great Product

It works for me very well, just as I expected. My size is small, so there is no problem to fit 2 in. I've already washed it couple of times, it didn't fall apart as some other reviewer(s) mentioned. To me, it is well made. Only complain (that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5) is company's shipping fee is almost the same as the product!

Rating :

comes open in the washer

Came open first attempt in using it! Definitely doesn't serve the purpose it was purchased for!

I think Tide bra wash bag is better.

I'm very disappointed with this item. With all the hype, I thought it would be great. However, I found out that:
a. it has no compartments. It has one opening where you can cram in however many bras you can fit in one go.
b. after 2-3 washes, the plastic around the circular portion (the thing that gives it shape) started making a whole through the bag. I had to pull the thing out so that it doesn't damage the bag or any other things.
c. it's way more expensive than the Tide wash bag.
I don't know why other people raved about this product. Maybe I got a defective one? Maybe I'm not using it right? But whatever. I'm not satisfied with this.

Drawstring fastener melted in low-heat dryer

Although these items are supposed to withstand the washer and dryer, the fastener to my large mesh bag melted in my dryer when it was set on the low-heat temperature sensitive mode. I now can't get the items out of the bag.

Some Pro's & Some Con's

I'll start with the pro's :-)

I love these bags. I've had a set of them for almost a year. They get used at least twice a week, and often three or four times. The bags have held up well. I love that they have the drawstring closure rather than zippers. Every zippered bag that I've ever owned has failed. This includes ones with metal zippers and ones with plastic zippers.

I have never had an item escape the bag. I use them for bras constantly. They are also used for tanks, delicate tops, hosiery, handkerchiefs, etc. I've never had the closure toggle loosen in the wash. The bag always comes out of the wash still tightly closed. I've also never used them on a heavy duty cycle. I wash all of my delicates on the delicate cycle. I have never used them in the dryer; so of course, I have not experienced the melting that others have noted.
I like the fabric that the bags are made of. I think that the more open mesh fabric used in many other bags can be rough on sweaters and some delicate fabrics.

The con's:

I paid $6.99 for this set (on Amazon) in August 2009. I have wanted to buy more sets since then, but the price has never returned to anything near $6.99 again (at least not when I've looked for it). It's now August 2010, and they are $13.09. It's not that I can't afford to spend thirteen bucks - but I feel so ripped off when the prices on Amazon fluctuate like this. It happens a LOT.

Another con is the comments that Honey-Can-Do left on the two current one-star reviews. The item is supposed to be guaranteed, and yet there is the company saying that they won't replace the product. I guess the "limited" part of the "limited lifetime guarantee" means they "limit" themselves to doing NOTHING to satisfy customers who received faulty merchandise.

Telling the customer to return the product to the retailer is useless. With the cost of shipping, it's a waste of time to send small items like this back. The last time I returned some items to Amazon (not related to this purchase); Amazon only returned a portion of my purchase price on the defective products. I no longer purchase items from Amazon unless I am fairly certain about the product quality, fit, etc. - and the price has to be considerably lower than other sellers who stand by their products (and give full refunds when the products don't meet expectations).

Clothes slip out of the mesh bag(s).

Due to the drawstring mechanism of this product, the clothes tend to escape (or partially escape) from the bag during our frontloader's cycle...which, we think, kind of defeats the whole idea of the mesh bag protecting the clothes.

Straight Review!

Its me again! The what's inside the box dude?!!
You get 3 sizes 1 large bag and 2 smaller bags.
The larger bag is 19"x26" and the two smaller bags are 9"x17"
See my photos on this product located just under Amazon's picture, click on "See all 4 customers images"
Lets face it I don't think anybody else is going to post pictures of this...really lol
Some of the reviews said their clothes kept escaping the bag, I found if you tie a slip knot after securing the plastic clip, your clothes, that are violently spinning around
inside a machine and beaten to death, will NOT escape. How dare them trying to sneak out!!!
The mesh is very fine, if you put the bag over your head and walked around you'll probably bump into things, I swear it was just to see how small the holes where, honestly!
The fabric feels like the inside of a bathing suit lining I guess that would be nylon right?? Duh! I have to be dramatic explaining things hee hee hee.
So I guess thats pretty much it. Oh you probably want to know why I bought it in the first place right? I accidently destroyed my girlfriends priceless treasures (her underwear)
Its a very low cost product so your not going to get any bashing from me regardless! Focus on the product right?
Enjoy!!!

tags: laundry, bags, destroyed underwear LOL

Plastic clips are hard to adjust, Bags fell apart in a few weeks

I would not recommend any draw string wash bags with spring loaded clips after owning this product.

The plastic clips are hard to adjust. I am 30 years old and if I have trouble, I can safely say I would not recommend these to my mom or grandma, especially anyone with arthritis.

Once I realized the plastic clips were no good, I decided to take them off and just tie my own knot each time. Then before I knew it the seams that keep the cords on were coming loose. These bags are draw string bags and cannot close without those seams. I wouldn't call them "garbage" because even though I can't use them as wash bags, I repurposed them to polish my furniture.

I have been informed by the manufacturer that they have a "limited lifetime warranty". That's nice but I do not want another set of these bags, not even for free.

I wouldn't recommend these bags or any draw string wash bags.

I ended up going to walmart and I found some sturdy wash bags with ZIPPERS and I have had better luck with those.

Vacuum bags

Difficult to extract air from bags was with some manipulation was able to get a somewhat satisfactory result.

Not Really Working

Well when I first opened the package, as one review above mentioned the size was disappointing, yes. So I put clothes in one of the bags and was using my Dyson vacuum cleaner, it didn't fit the valve, so after 10 minutes I figured out how to finally get the air out. So I was about to close the valve after vacuuming the air out, and couldn't do it as fast since I had a vacuum in one hand, so the air got back in very fast through the valve, so you can't make it a perfect vacuum unless you fast as a snake. Not very impressed, disappointed, but I fill in all the bags. Soon a couple of them had a lot of air in it. Wouldn't buy it anymore. Tried Space Bags from Home Depot, those work perfectly and you don't need to rush to close the valve because it is already secured.

Some work, some don't

Well after reading the reviews I thought I would try these bags; the price was good and others said they worked. I have had nothing but trouble with these. One out of all I got has held its seal. I have the real space bags in the hall linen cupboard that hold winter bedding sealed until I open them. These bags slowly lose their seal over time. All but one. I have tried repacking and resealing but they still take in air over time. It looks like you have a seal and you place them on the shelf and next time you look they all puffy again, ro no longer flat so they fall off the shelf. I will be staying with the real space bags from now on, you get what you pay for.

Rating :

Total waist of money.

4 out of 5 bags in trash 10 min after initial use. Holes and very poor quality.

honey-can't-do

cheap version of the space bags. they don't hold the vacume and after repeated tries to seal/reseal the bags the zip lock gets soft and will not hold. pay the extra and get the real space bags.

Not durable or space-saving

My mistake is not seeing the rack in person. It says expandable, but I didn't think, so was disappointed you have to pull out the side and take up a lot of space. Next time, I'll buy something vertical.

Mistake #2 was the plastic tabs on the sides of the tubes that fit into each other. They break off easily. I contacted the manufacturer and they promised to mail me a replacement, but never did.

#3 was buying it on amazon.com, which means you have to mail it back. That's too costly. Buy it on target.com so you can take it back to the store.

Not for by-the-door/utilitarian shoes, for in-closet, dressy shoes

I wanted a rack for near the front door, I'm a shoes-off-in-the-house person. I use mostly athletic type shoes, not dress shoes. This will not be useful for that everyday use. It takes too much care to place and remove shoes delicately. Not friendly to newcomers and guests who need something easy and sturdy.

The bottom row is only high enough for flats, flip-flops or as in the picture, ballet shoes. Many high heels will only fit on top. I wear women's size 8, which is men's 6. I think large men's shoes would not fit well and boots would be too heavy, causing more wobble. This rack is really only for light, high heels on top. Running shoes or shoes without a markedly raised heel tend to be unstable and must be placed "just so" to not slide off.

It is somewhat flimsy, wobbles a bit because it arrived bent. All parts are very thin metal that can be easily bent by hand. The tube legs can easily be smashed, they are hollow, as well as of the thin metal. The side supports arrived pushed out of shape as though someone had stepped on the box. I bent them back like butter, but they will never be machined-true again. Do not let anyone kick it or step on it. That said, it would be strong enough for in a closet, display use, such as to see the choices when you think "Which shoes match this outfit?".

It would work best for light weight, high heels on top, flats/low heels on bottom, in a closet. If you have many, pretty and expensive shoes to display in your closet, this would be a decent choice. It's attractive to look at if it's treated with care. It expands sideways so each of the 2 racks hold about 6 pairs of narrow shoes (not boots!) for up to 12 pairs of shoes, total. Dressy shoes look very nice on this rack.

I'd say it's not for children or around children, because very small shoes will not be long enough to fit across the two bars. Moreover, it is could dangerous around small children. The side supports are thin, flat bands that are almost razor sharp at the edges. These are the cross sections that join the tube type legs. Adults will be safe enough.

Update: I bought "Household Essentials 2103 Stackable 2-Shelf Chrome Shelving Unit" for work boots and running shoes at the front door. It works great for my needs and can be expanded by adding additional units both upwards and sideways. It is much stronger and the flat shelves will accommodate more types of shoes with ease. I will use the "Honey-Can-Do" in my closet for dressy heels and flats.

Rating :

A little wobbly

This one is very easy to fix & takes just a min. But its not very sturdy so you cant place very heavy boots. But the expandable part is nice as it holds a lot of shoes. Also you can store some underneath it.

Rating :

Not worth it

When it arrived, a piece of the leg was broken off. It's very flimsy and doesn't hold the shoes well. Save your money and buy a different rack.

Rating :

pretty good

bought this around 3 months back. haven't had any problems till now.
has enough space to hold all my shoes.

Questions & Answers
Question : How easy is it to line drawers?
I'm moving in to a new place and the drawers are freaking me out! I have nice, coated shelves where I am right now, but in the new place it's just plain wood...with lots of paint on the outside...lovely! They look dirty already, so I would like to use contact paper to line just about everything in the apartment, is it worth the hassle? Is it a hassle at all? Thanks!

Answer:
They've improved contact paper so much from years ago. It is so simple to do now and well worth it. I hate dirty stained shelves myself and cover all my shelves with it. Just follow the easy to follow instructions.

Question : How do I get the drawers out of a new dresser I just bought? Drawers are on a slider, whats the trick?
I just bought this new dresser and need to move it myself but can't without taking the drawers out, but they are on a metal slider and only come out so far and lifting the drawer does not seem to work. Is there some secret button I have to push? Please help

Answer:
For many, you pull the drawer out as far as it will go and tilt the front up or down. On others (usually the full extenstion type) there is a little catch you have to push, pull or lift to get the drawer out.

Question : What should go in a chest of drawers and what goes in a wardrobe?
My Mum does the washing and then she leaves the clothes in my room for me to put away once they're ironed. She always gives out that I put the wrong things in the drawers, and the wrong things in the wardrobe. To avoid future arguments, what things should I fold into my chest of drawers, and what items should I hang in my wardrobe? Thanks in advance!

Answer:
Well I don't know if there are set rules but I hang dresses, shirts, skirts, trousers and blouses in the wardrobe. I fold t shirts, jeans and knitted clothes into my chest of drawers. I read that if you hang knitted clothes they lose their shape and stretch! I have 5 drawers in my chest of drawers. ( 2 small and 3 large). In the top 2 I have underwear, 1 drawer everyday, 1 drawer dressy. The other drawers are 1 for t shirts, ! for jumpers and cardigans and 1 drawer for jeans. I hope this helps!

Question : How do I get the drawers open on an antique buffet?
I use my antique buffet which was passed down from my grandmother. Now all of a sudden the two drawers wont' open. The buffet is in my home with a/c in warm weather and heat in cooler weather. I have no idea how to open the drawers. The only explanation I have is maybe the wood is swollen and they're stuck shut? Please help me. Thank you.

Answer:
Did you check to see if you had a piece of paper stuck or something holding the drawers shut. I had a similiar problem and once I reached my hand up the back side of the drawers I found a folded evelope lodged in the side and holding the drawer shut.

Question : How do I get rid of these musty clothes smell from my drawers?
I store my clothes in these wooden drawers. All my clothes are washed and clean. They smell like fresh laundry detergent, until I fold all my clothes and put them in my drawers. Leaves this musty wood smell (like Home Depot smell). What can I do to prevent the smell from my clothes, without replacing my drawers?

Answer:
Scented drawer liners or you could use some fabric dryer sheets

Question : Where can I find replacement runners for dresser drawers?
I have a five-drawer dresser for my daughter's bedroom, but three of the drawers are missing the runners. Where can I find replacements?

Answer:
if you can't find them at loews or home depot try www.rockler.com or www.woodworkingshop.com

Question : How do I line dresser drawers with fabric?
I am using a dresser to keep my extensive jewelry collection, and I would like to line the drawers with fabric. I have an idea to wrap the fabric around cardboard of some kind, but wondering if I can glue the fabric directly to the drawer. I don't want to use felt -- I would like to use soft upholstery fabric. Has anyone who has ever done this before able to give me some tips?

Answer:
I used to do this when I was younger. I would cut a cardboard template to fit the bottom of the draw, cover it with material / stickers or transfers and then do the same with the side panels. When all the side panels were covered I would use wide tape to hold them in place at the back and I would fold the tape, so it would stick to the timber as well. It always looked really good. Have fun.

Question : How do you remove the Polyurethane smell from in built drawers?
We have in built drawers in our walk in wardrobe which my husband decided to paint with polyurethane to ensure that any mould was killed and would not come back. This was well over a year ago and the smell still won't go away. Anything that is put in the drawers ends up stinking of Polyurethane. We have removed all of the drawers twice and left them outside for weeks at a time to vent, but to no avail. Any ideas, as currently we can't use them.

Answer:
i have the same problem when i make my jewelry boxes...i put a potpourri sachet in the box and eventually the smell goes away...in your case you may want to rub down the sidewalls of the drawers to speed it up...

Question : What is the best way to line dresser drawers?
I want to pick out a pretty and romantic liner to line my lingerie and dresser drawers. Any suggestions of stores that have a good selection? What is the best way to line drawers accurately? In terms of measuring, cutting etc. Any tips? I have never done this before and am not sure where to start!

Answer:
Its easy just measure and estimate how many rollls you need to buy first. Then go buy the rolls and cut them w/scissors. There are a lot of options a Walmart and Target that are inexpensive. You can get either regular or scented ones. It would be in w/laundry detergent and accessories "drawer liners."

Question : How do I straighten the drawers in a dresser that I am building? They are on rollers and wont close squarely..
This is the first dresser that I have built. The drawers are meant to close on rollers like kitchen cabinets do. I built a box first and then have a drawer face that I want to attach to that box, but the drawer doesnt close squarely. How do I fix this so that the drawer will close and the drawer face will be flush to the dresser frame?

Answer:
If you used gliders, adjust the back of them, left or right. If it you built your own rails, then it may not be square. Maybe you can adjust that.
