Customer Review :
Great purchase
For under 10 dollars I was easily able to sharpen my very nice knives. It normally costs me about 75 dollars to get a good edge back on my 11 knives. This handy little sharpener is well worth the money. I bought 2 so I could give one to my daughter.

so simple, so effective
Very handy to have the sharpener around. A few trips can get your knife back to be sharp.

Awesome
At first glance it doesn't look like much, but I was looking for a decent knife sharpener for camping trips. I purchased this because of the good reviews and now, WOW its EXCELLENT! Brings knifes to their full potential. Fantastic price and product bravo.

Best Knife Sharpener on the Market!!!!
I bought the Accusharp Knife Sharpener to sharpen my tactical and kitchen knives and I couldn't be happier with the quality and ease of use. All my knives are razor sharp now and I love this tool!!! I highly recommend it!!!
Rating :
Not as good as its reputation, won't give you a razor's edge
I've hand-sharpened knives for 25 or so years now, and have tried nearly every sharpening system and sharpening materials out there. In all of my considerable experience (sorry if that sounds a bit cocky), nothing beats hand-sharpening on flat whetstones that have a high grit, or using a leather strop with jeweler's rouge to polish up an edge to a glass smooth, super razor sharp edge.
I kept hearing such wonderful things from people about how good of a sharpener this AccuSharp 001 knife sharpener is, so I decided, since I really like to have very sharp knives, to give it a try. I own several other sharpeners like this, both in design and in material (tungsten carbide), and have never been satisfied with the edge they produce. Before purchasing this product, probably the best I had tried before were sharpeners like the Smith Abrasives, Inc. PP1 Pocket Pal Knife Sharpener, which has both a tungsten carbide sharpener to quickly get a semi-sharp edge, and also a ceramic bladed sharpener to finish, or "polish" the edge into sharpness.
This AccuSharp 001 sharpener is actually the best product of this kind I have tried. Despite only having the tungsten carbide blades, it actually gives a good knife a decent edge. I tried this product on cheap 440A stainless steel (no name Wally World type knives), 440HC stainless steel (typical Buck knife blade material, which is pretty decent steel), to high quality blade materials like high carbon 1095 steel (Ontario, SOG, some Cold Steel, Spyderco, and a few others) and VG-1 and VG-10 stainless steels (again, SOG, some Cold Steel, Spyderco, Benchmade, etc).
Even on high quality steel blades, this sharpener only delivers a decent edge. Not a razor edge, but a decent edge. No offense to the previous reviewer, I like to use a knife for its intended purpose...to cut through something with MINIMAL effort...which cannot be done without at LEAST a razor edge. Whether I'm preparing dinner, to woodworking, etc etc, I simply must have a razor's edge at the least to work with, to make my work go easier.
I have still found no better method that using high grit flat stones, followed by polishing with a leather strop and jeweler's rouge, to give me that super razor edge on good quality steel that I prefer to use.
SO, if you only want a pretty decent edge to work with, then this product is, hands down, the best one to use to give you that decent edge. Just make sure you follow the instructions and only use very, very slight pressure, or you'll never get that decent edge.
If what you want or need is a razor edge, or super razor edge, then this product will disappoint you. It all depends on what you want/need.
But, again, as far as this type of sharpener goes, this is by far the best one I've used.

Customer Review :
Where the rubber meets the road? Drill bits meet the wood/metal?
The 5 stars is out of fairness to a kit that has not been used yet; I'll edit later, as deserving. It just arrived and I've been looking for drill bits since then. I see all the glowing reviews and only a couple of mentions that you have to use hex shank drill bits. I only read a dozen reviews before ordering, practically salivating over the great reviews. I did not realize the drill would also be a hex drive and that there's a truly limited drill bit selection on the market. The quality of most two-piece bits has been called into question on reviews of those bits. I am considering buying the adapt-a-drive keyed chuck (by Jacobs) so I can use the vast array of round bits already on hand and I did buy a set of Ryobi TiN coated bits with hex drives to try (hmmm????). I have gobs of driver stuff on hand and found that most sets only provide 5 or 6 drill bits with 30 pcs of redundant driver parts. I'd love to know how others are getting so much happy drilling done?? Thanks for any advice/input on the real business end of the work, now that we all know the units are GREAT.

Makita's dynamic duo
These two little Makita's are super! I have had this set for over 2 years and they get the most use (home improvement business). I also have the big brother Makita's 18volt lith. I keep going to these two in most of my jobs because they are small , light and very powerful. The batteries last a long time and recharge quickly. Again, Makita has a true winner here. But , what's with the fancy storage box?...keep the tin box and give me a 3rd battery in the package. Overall this combo is very very good.

Refurbished or returned item
I received the item today. When I open the box, I noticed the scratch on the box. Also inside the box, only the drill has the plastic bag. The impact driver looks worn and not new. The date on the impact driver is 8/08, and on the drill is 12/09. Something is not right.
I am sure this is either refurbished item or returned item. I cannot believe that Amazon ship it to me as a new item.

Fantastic For the Size
I ordered these through a "deal of the day" and I am very pleased with the size and power of these little units. I read the review criticizing the drill for not having an adjustable chuck but that is not a factor. I have bits that fit into this chuck already. The best part is that I throw these into my tool bag and they fit without adding extra bulk. The charger is even relatively compact. The power, especially for the impact driver is adequate for my needs. I couldn't be more pleased.

best tool purchase in years
I love tools and acquire as many as I my wife will allow--new, used, trades, reclaimed, etc. This Makita 10.8v Li-Ion combo kit is easily the best tool acquisition I have made in years! I've used them just about every day for the past two months and they have lived up to every glowing review I read prior to purchasing. There's no need to re-state all of the good stuff others have written, so I'll just highlight my own favorite features: the light weight and the well-balanced, ergonomic grip. I can use these drills skillfully with either hand after only minimal practice and they are comfortable to hold and stable in a variety of positions. Very often I'll find myself holding one upside-down with my palm at the rear of the drill or driver and directly in-line with the bit for added pressure and control. I had been a huge fan of the quick-flip drill and drive system for countersinking screws, but nothing beats having a dedicated drill and driver, especially when you can hold one in your left hand and one in your right! Buy these and you will not be disappointed.

Black And Decker Replacement Spools
I love my Black and Decker cordless trimmer. It's east to use and the Trimmer Spools are easy to replace.

Spare Me A Review
Bought a B&D cordless trimmer and while I have no trouble rewinding a string trimmer spool by hand, thought this was cheap enough to have sitting in the garage to avoid the chore. So far, I've had really good life from the original spool in the trimmer, so haven't even needed to go into the spares yet. If the replacements work as well as what came in the trimmer (and it should be the same stuff right?) I don't know if I'll ever have to buy more of these!

Editorial Review :
Powerful and effective, the Toro Ultra 3-in-1 Blower, Vacuum, and Leaf Shredder makes completing yard work fun and easy. With air speeds up to 235 mph, this electric blower nevertheless is lighter, quieter, and cleaner than similar gas blowers. And with a sleek, ergonomical design, it's a tool that is easy to use and will grab your neighbors' attention. | The Toro Ultra 3-in-1 Blower, Vacuum, and Leaf Shredder:- Is electric so it is lighter, quieter, and cleaner than similar gas blower.
- Has a variable speed motor.
- Features a metal impeller for mulching debris.

Convert from blower to vacuum without tools. |

The metal impeller shreds leaves into a mulch. |
The impeller can reduce up to 16 bags' worth of waste to one bag. | Match the Power to the Task for Better Results Tackle big clean-up jobs the right way with this powerful blower vac. A variable speed 12 Amp motor lets you select from an infinite variety of speeds between 112 mph and 235 mph. This means that you can use low speeds to clear off hard surfaces and clean up tight areas without making a mess and without sacrificing the blower's high-speed functionality. Air Speed and Air Volume to Get Yard Jobs Done Unlike some manufacturers, who simply reduce the size of their blower nozzles to achieve higher air speed ratings without increasing the practical value of their tools, Toro gives this blower vac the ability to balance between air speed (measured in mph) and air volume (measured in cfm) to ensure maximum power and performance. This Ultra blower vac offers air speeds up to 235 mph and air volume up to 255 cfm, allowing you to move a substantial volume of leaves and debris with ease. 3-in-1 Versatility Makes Managing Tasks Easy A convenient quick-release latch lets you convert your blower into a vacuum in seconds without any tools, while a metal impeller makes it easy to mulch debris. The magnesium serrated metal blades on the impeller shred leaves and other unwanted debris into a fine mulch that you can use around your lawn and garden, saving money and recycling important nutrients. It also makes it easy to dispose of unwanted yard waste, since the impeller can reduce 16 bags’ worth of leaves to one bag. Clean and Efficient with Electric Power Compared with gas blowers, electric blowers are quieter, more eco-friendly, and require less maintenance. They start up instantly without requiring you to master a finicky pull cord. There's no messy gas-oil mixture to worry about, and you don't have to contend with noxious fumes to get a job done. This high-powered blower also weighs in at a very manageable 7.5 pounds, making it easy on your back. This blower/vac is backed by a full two-year warranty. What's in the Box Power unit, blower tubes, vac tubes, vac bag, and operators manual.

Even a large yard is easy to clean up with this blower. |
Customer Review :
Works well, very powerful
Works well, seems to be pretty powerful. Not sure if the vacuum part is too great, it does tend to clog, but I have nothing to compare it to.

worth every penny
This leaf blower is amazing. Super powerful, easy to use, very easy to put together and surprisingly, not obnoxiously loud. If you want to blow your leaves and trash into the neighbors yard, this is what you need. If not, you still need this machine if leaves drive you crazy. I have cottonwood trees that shed leaves every single day and I was sick & tired of raking and picking them up. After reading the reviews on this leaf blower, I ordered it from Amazon, got it very quickly and am extremely happy I did. Unless someone cuts down these annoying trees of mine, I will always have to deal with leaves and this amazing machine makes my life a little easier. Worth every penny.

REVIEW TORO 51599 BLOWER/VACUUM
I HAVE TWO MATURE DECIDUOUS TREES IN MY BACKYARD, HERE IN PHOENIX WE GET A NUMBER OF MONSOON STORMS WITH VERY STRONG WIND GUSTS, I DONT LIKE BLOWERS THEY JUST MOVE STUF AROUND IN MY OPINION AND CAN POLUTE THE AIR WITH DUST AND DEBRIS, SO I PURCHASED THIS TORO MACHINE FOR THE VACUUM. I HAVE USED IT 3 TIMES SO FAR, IT WORKS WELL, I AM SATISFIED, I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS GOOD FOR WHAT YOU GET, THE QUALITY IS THERE. I USE IT MOSTLY FOR CONCRETE WALKWAYS AND DRIVEWAY, I REALY LIKE THE VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL WICH IS CONVENIENTLY PLACED, THE VACUUM IS POWERFUL AND I HAD NO TROUBLE CLEANING UP ALL THE LEAVES QUICKLY. YES YOU DO HAVE TO MANIPULATE THE CORD, I FOUND THE BEST WAY IS TO WORK AWAY FROM THE OUTLET. EMPTYING THE BAG WAS EASY, I LIKE HOW THE IMPELER CHOPPED UP THE LEAVES, I USE THEM AS MULCH AROUND MY PLANTS. MY ONLY GRIPE IS THE BAG WOULD BE EASIER TO WORK WITH IF IT WAS STRAPPED TO THE BACK LIKE A BACK PACK, TORO COULD EASILY MAKE A FLEXIBLE TUBE TO CONECT TO THE MACHINE. OVERALL I WOULD BUY THIS ITEM AGAIN. MJS.Toro 51599 Ultra 12 amp Variable-Speed Electric Blower/Vacuum with Metal Impeller

It worked the first time
The first time I used this Toro electric blower it worked great although is nosier at higher speeds than expected. A week later when I tried to use it again nothing happened. When I called Toro they were very pleasant, and said they suspected a safety switch of some sort had stuck and if I shipped it back they would send me a new one in a few weeks. They do not pay for shipping so I am $22 poorer and back to using my B&D cordless while I wait for a replacement. Not a good intro to my first Toro.

Excellent Blower, vacuum not so good ,,,
Excellent blower ... Vacuuming up leaves, not so good ?????? One thing I dislike about the vacuum portion is there is a LOT of dust that comes out of the collector bag when vacuuming (not good) ... Blower good ... Vacuuming not so good ... With that in mind, I would recommend this product for its blower qualities ...

Editorial Review :
Rayovac's SE3DLN has an energy efficient LED that never needs to be replaced. With an EZ find light, a tent hook, and water resistant finish, there is no reason to go on your next camping trip with out it. Features 3 light modes: high, low, and strobe. 150 hour battery life. Carrying high power LEDs, machined from aircraft grade aluminum, and sporting a high end attitude, this light is Xtreme.
Customer Review :
Negative point for parasitic battery drain.
The energy drain from the green LED which flashes 24/7 is not insignificant. I have a River Rock LED lantern which uses three AA cells, and also has the flashing green LED 24/7. After a couple months, there is very little energy left in the cells when I go to use the lantern. The duration will be longer in a three-D cell lantern, of course, as D-cells hold 3-4 times the energy as AA cells. But the point is, most people probably store an emergency lantern with the cells in it, ready for use. And when you go to use those cells you paid good money for, you don't expect them to be drained for no good reason. One poster mentioned that he deemed the parasitic drain was insignificant because he stored his lantern a year, and when he turned it on, it lit up. Big deal. You can spend $30 to fill up your car with gas, then store it a month with a small leak in the gas tank which drips every few seconds. A month later you go to start your car and, guess what, it starts and revs great. But that doesn't change the fact that there's only a gallon of gas left in the tank thanks to the LED, er ... leak. The flashing green LED is a pointless design with no redeeming value.
Rating :
Perfect
I purchased this for my camping trip to the Smokies and I love it! It is very bright, even on the low setting. The strobe is very annoying, but will definitely serve its purpose in attracting attention in a time of need! This is the best lantern out there for the money, in my opinion. You will not regret the purchase.
I will, like others have, suggest that you remove the batteries for storage. The flashing green LED on the front will drain your batteries after a while.

outstanding
Small lantern that puts out the light. Good white light that makes the dark run and hide. Excellent for power outages, have used several times and still on the same battery. My 8 year old had the battery compartment figured out before I got the second lantern package open. Overall these are outstanding.

Lots of light in a small package
This is perfect for the tent or, in my case, the tent trailer. I like the fact that this light is compact, which means it can fit in our camping gear box with ease, uses D batteries for extremely long battery life and has 2 settings. The lower setting is slightly less bright than the higher, yet double the battery life. In addition to the handle, there's a hook on the underside, which is what I used to hang it from a support bar within the trailer.
To sum it up, this light is bright, compact and has long battery life. I was using a 4d Coleman florescent, but that's now going to be set aside for this unit.
Rating :
Excellent Light
This is a great emergency lantern. I was impressed with how much it lights up a room. The lantern also feels pretty solid for only $25. I still wouldn't want to drop it since the light housing could break. As with other reviewers I feel the green blinking light is useless. Its not annoying to me nor am I worried about it draining power, it simply isn't bright enough to do any good. Also, there were some complaints about the battery installation. I can't really say I had much of a problem with putting the batteries in. It did take me a few seconds to figure it out, but it is simple. There were arrows indicating where to place the bottom piece. Even if the arrows are not there you can see the proper orientation since it will only go in one way. I am sure they still could have come up with something easier. but it wasn't a problem for me. Overall, these are great to have around the house for when the power goes out. For the price I am impressed.
