Great little Tool, Quick and Effective

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I have been using this sharpener for several months now and am very impressed. It is a quick easy way to put a sharp edge on any blade you use in the kitchen. I have used it on large and small kitchen knifes. I pulled out a knife the other day while making a dish that required sliced (halved) grape tomatoes. The knife I had was a bit dull and was squishing the tomatoes. I zipped the blade through the sharpener about 20 times, took about a minute. Then it went through the little guys zip zip zip. It's small, easy to store, and very safe. I'm going to get another one for my camping gear.

Great Tool

I originally owned this knife sharpener along with a sharpener for scissors and garden tools, and I was extremely pleased with how easy it is to sharpen a knife. The guard at the handle protects your hand thus making it very safe to handle. It is light weight and easy to store in the drawers. I truly would recommend this sharpener to anyone.

I had one of those traditional long rod type of sharpner. It was very difficult to use it and never sharpened the knife as much as one would like. This one is as good as the reviews suggest. It's extremely easy to use and very quick to sharpen. You will see a remarkable difference immediately. It's a strong buy.

Great to have around.

I am very pleased with this inflator. I was just getting tired of having to pay $0.75 every time I inflated my tires at a gas station. The machine works very well and it is easy to inflate to just the right pressure. The power cord is pretty short so make sure you have an extension cord around.

Air Station

Needed a replacement compact air pump for in and around the home this one fit the bill. It is small, lightweight, operates on AC or DC, and easy to use. Could have been a little more powerful, but for the size works very well.

Works exactly as it says. Small powerful pump and does a great jobs with pumping car and bike tires. I just wished it were a little more compact so it can fit in a storage compartment in the trunk.

B&D Air Pump

This item arrived quickly and was fairly priced. I haven't even taken it out of the box yet but I am confident it will be a great product that I can use around the house. Black and Decker always makes quality tools that lasts.

Works, But With Limitations

This air pump does a good job of inflating tires and other inflatables with two limitations. First, it's nice that everything fits within the hose compartment so it is easy to transport, but the extremely short AC power cord (1 ft) means you'll be dragging around an extension cord whenever you use it. Even a thin 6 ft cord would've eliminated this problem. Secondly, the valve adapter is hard to get on and off a tire stem. In taking it off, after I release the locking lever on the adapter, I have to really pull on it to get it to release. I end up almost pulling the valve stem out of the tire, and in the process release some of the air I just pumped in. If this is how it works new, I hate to think what it will be like after a lot of use. Other than that it seems to meet all my needs.

Must have for your Leatherman

This item will complete your Leatherman and make it much more versatile! The quality bits fit most screws heads snugly and do the job in a pinch. You might want to get the bit extender as well for those tough to reach places.

CHECK YOUR BITS!!

I received this and found that I did not have the complete set. One bit was missing, and I was doubled up on another. Bits were out of sequence, and the holder can easily get stretched by larger bits, making it difficult to hold smaller ones when put in a logical order.

I contacted Leatherman, and they sent me the missing bit without question. Check it when it arrives.

Otherwise, good kit. Sheath easily holds the bit extension as well.

Leatherman 40 bit Assortment with Nylon Sheath

I bought the Leatherman 40 bit Assortment with Nylon Sheath along with other Leatherman products. The items were received on time and in the condition described. These items were given away as gifts to my boyfriend and he has not expressed anything but positive comments about the product. He uses them in his daily hobbies or routine. They snap into place perfectly, are not difficult to replace and perform their job well with no problems (difficulty to use etc) I am very happy with my purchase :)

Leatherman accesories

I just received order and contemplated return...funny looking flat bits but they fit the older 1/4" adapter with internal locking ring. Bonus is case which fits many models. These are not shop bits for daily use as singles are not offered for sale but assortment is very good for technicians (Torx lacks tamper-proof hole). Leatherman backs warranty but I wonder about bit replacements.

Good for casual use

I've been using these bits for about a year on various projects. I like how there are multiple Phillips head bits, so I can always find one that fits perfectly. My one complaint is that the hex bits really aren't suited for more than light tightening. Because they are thin, they only contact on four out of six sides. I was using them for regular maintenance on some valves, and this gradually stripped the bolt heads. I blame myself rather than Leatherman for this, but keep in mind that these are really only made for light use.

Didn't work for me

I couldn't get this thing to work. I went over the wall about a million times. I spoke to someone at the hardware store who said that the magnetic stud finders can be really hard to use, especially in old buildings.

Finally I just bought a different (non-magnetic) stud finder, which worked great. I got the Zircon StudSensor and had no trouble using it.

Wow!

I wasn't sure about this product that I purchased for my husband. But as soon as I opened the box he went straight to a wall to try it out. We were both amazed at how well it works. Just slide it over the wall in a large S pattern and when it finds a nail, it stops. Wev'e found that powerful magnets are often useful around the house and now locating studs is added to the list.

I rated this product just 3 stars because it works by magnetic field. So if no nail unable to find wood stud. A basic stud finder would have been better.

Works on Floors, Walls...anything

I used this recently when taking out the existing subfloor to prepare for tile. It latched onto the nails and made removal a bit easier and safer as we cut away and pried up the floor.
I have also tested it on walls, and it does a great job.

Works great - amazing value!

A very nice tool - regardless of price. Gives consistent readings between sessions, down to the thousandths of an inch. Buttons work well, and the auto on/off feature is nice to have.

Adding this: Now that I've used it a lot, heavy use throughout several days, I'm even more enthusiastic about this fine tool. It never needs to be re-zeroed, and you can set any desired position as the zero. It has the useful projection off the back end, to use as a depth gauge. Is very easy to use - just take care not to hit the "zero" button accidentally, 'cause that will define a new zero location and it may not be where you expect it.
