The Pool Ground Cloth is made of durable material to offer you pool bottom added protection and longevity.

Customer Review :

simple and easy

We needed a new ground cloth for our Easy Set pool. I was originally going to buy it from Intex directly but their shipping was very high. I checked on Amazon and it was free shipping and cost less. We couldn't go wrong with that. It arrived and it is super easy yo set up and the kids are happy with their pool for the summer.

Intex Pool Ground Cloth - why does Amazon have this listed as a Toy???

We just purchased our third intex pool in eight years and previous years we have used a heavy-duty tarp. This year I spent more money and bought this Intex ground cloth which claims to be "extra padded"... well, that's a joke! Thankfully, I only paid $18 for this disappointing ground cover. This is THE thinnest "tarp" I've ever seen. Next year, I will go back to the discount warehouse where I can buy a 16' heavy duty tarp for $8-$12. I would NOT waste my money on this Intext ground cloth.

Beware, consumers

I have bought two pools from Intex.

As products go, they are ok. merely OK.

But what you should be aware of is if you need replacements parts, you are on your own.
The filter pump went out after 4 months use.
So I thought it would be easy to get a replacement part. Easy. Right?

No. Most retailers will not carry these parts.
You are at the mercy of Atex's very high prices if you order from them. Amazon lists them, if at all, at very high prices.
Please beware of the shortage of replacement parts, because like I said, you will be on your own.

Great ground cloth!

Puchased to use with our intex metal frame pool (12x30). Definitely big enough! We tied the excess up against the pool to prevent stagnant water/mosquito breeding. Durability at a great price.

Works Great... But

Works Great... And is very durable.. But the only thing i dislike about it is it should of came with ancor pins.. Or Ground stakes... Because if you have the 12ftx3fx3ft 3 in intex metal frame pool it leaves the 4 corners and sides vulnerable to the wind .... you have to weight them down all the way around to keep it from rolling in on its self....

Questions & Answers
Question : Anyone ever replace a above ground pool liner?
So I called a couple of companies that do liner installations and no-one called me back. So I am going to attempt to do this on my own. So I have the liner in and it is an over the wall liner so I have it held on by cloths pins and have put some water in, removed the wrinkles and need to know when I should put the coping and the things that go ontop of the copings back on. I am not sure if I should keep filling the pool because I may need to loosen the liner because of the pull when I get more water in. Can anyone help me out and explain when I should put the rails back on?

Answer:
I have done 2 and I wait until the water is almost to the skimmer, about a foot or so, by that time all the slack should be out.

Question : 1st time pool owner....Intex Pool?
I brought a Intex pool from wal-mart 15'-48" metal frame....I am putting it up on Saturday and need some advice or help on how to manage it. We have made the foundation for the pool already. We pulled the grass up, place some landscape timbers in an octagon shape.....we also put a ground cloth down and place some sand on top of the cloth a place another ground cloth over the sand. Now all there is left is putting up the pool. Now this is where I need your help. After the pool is up what is the first thing that I do after adding water into it. I brought a starter kit that include tester, shock, and some other stuff that I can't think of. Also how long do I run the pump (model 635)? How often do I put chemicals in it? Any advice is needed....

Answer:
Stabilizer. Add that first when the pool is up and running. Take a sample of your water ( clean container) to your local pool shop. They'll check it for free. They'll let you know how much stabilizer to add and your initial shock as well as specialty chems required if your water has dissolved metals etc in it. As for your pool pump. The more it runs, the cleaner your water. Pools filtration equipment is sized for a pool such that it will turn over the entire pool volume 1.5 times in a 24 hour period. Do the math. Any run of less than 18 hours per day results in not all of your pool water going through the filter. Your chemical costs to combat what the filter isn't doing go up. In most areas of the planet, electricity is cheaper than chlorine. Run your pump. If you do decide to dance on the edge and put it on a timer, let it run at least 18 hours per day. Less and you'll be paying more to keep that pool healthy than you need to.

Question : Swimming Pool Ground Sheets & Pump Question
Hello!, 2 questions in one im afraid.-1- I have a 10 ft o'blue pool, it will be put on a patio which is level and in good condition with very minimal gaps between slabs, do I need a ground cloth? Are they any good? Any alternatives?2- I also have a o'blue 3000 litre pump and heater in one unit. Can leave the unit out overnight or do i have to take it indoors? Or can i build a box to keep it in with correct ventilation?Cheers Guys, looking forward to some advice!

Answer:
If you put it on concrete, you should use some sort of cloth, maybe an old carpet pad. Most pool pumps are made for oudoors, but making a weather cover isn't a bad idea.

Question : Frame Pool from (mega-discount variety department store): How critical is site preparation and absolute level?
Maybe the horse is out of the barn: It's filling now. Anyway, I just dragged it out on the "lawn". It hadn't even been mowed lately and there's some substantial (but now actually woody) stiff, fibrous stalks. Not quite twigs. There's some deeper ruts and depressions but not quite chuck-holes. There's some - - I don't tink they're rocks or stones and they're not TOO sharp - but there are some hard "pointed - like a football is pointed" - ok maybe they're rounded stones. And one side might be as low at 10"-12" in 20 feet lower than the high end.Anyone with experience with this? Is this thing going to collapse? There's lots of slack in the bottom. I'm working wrinkles out best I can as it fills, and leaving slack for the high spots and stalks and stones so they won't be overly taght and stress points. How bad have I messed up? Will this thing make it this year? be good for a second year?I chose the frame over the floating ring because it's bigger (deeper.) The bottom seems to be hearty and durable - it's own ground cloth. The directions said nothing about a ground cloth but I'm wishing I used one, I think. Please, someone - tell me you've abused one like this and it came out OK!

Answer:
I think you should empty the water and prepare the base like the instructions say. A properly installed pool should last way longer than one season. The floor is going to be uncomfortable, at the very least, and difficult to vacuum. The coping around the base is there so the liner doesn't creep under the edge, causing failure. There's way to many reasons to list here. But for your safety, and your families sake, install it correctly. That's a lot of water, and the pool needs to hold back all that pressure. An out of level condition will put more strain on one side than the other, possibly causing failure. Again, follow the directions, you will be happier in the long run.

Question : A Dream I Had But Dont Know What It Means?
I DREAM THAT I WAS LOCATED IN SOME TYPE OF WEAR HOUSE WERE THEY USE THESE MACHINES TO MAKE ROLLS TO EAT. THE MACHINE ITSELF MIX UP THE DOUGH, POURED IN A CONTAINER, GATHER ITSELF ON A CONVEYOR BELT ROLL INTO SECTION, BAKED AND SPRINKLE WITH WHITE POWDER. THE TASTE WAS SWEET SO I WALK ALONG THIS OTHER AREA AND THIS GENTLEMEN APPROACH ME. I COULD NOT MAKE OUT HIS FACE BUT HE SAID THIS I NEEDED TO KNOW SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION. HE SHOW ME THAT THERE WAS FOUR MEN'S LOCATED ON FOUR PARTS OF THE UNIVERSITY TAKEN SOME VALUABLE MATERIALS THAT SHOULD NOT BE EXPOSE OF TOUCH. THIS MATERIAL WAS COVERED IN A BROWN TERRI CLOTH WITH ANCIENT GREEK AND ARABIC WRITTEN THAT I COULD NOT MAKE OUT BUT IT APPEARED VERY IMPORTANT. THE MAN REMOVED THE CLOTH THAT WAS BURIED IN THE GROUND AND VERY DUSTY. ONCE HE UNCOVERED IT APPEARED A LARGE ROUND SHAPE THAT WAS VERY SOLID. THE MAN CRACKED THE SOLID SHAPE AND INSIDE WAS A PIECE OF IVORY JEWELRY THAT WAS PRICELESS. NEXT, THE GUY WALK ME OVER TO THIS AREA WERE THE REFLECTION WAS VERY BRIGHT AND WHAT APPEARED TO BE A WORLD POOL SHAPE ILLUSION CIRCLE WITH WATER LIKE COLORS LOCATED RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. HE TOLD ME TO WAIT BECAUSE HE COULD NOT WALK ME THROUGH. I STOOD THERE AND WHAT APPEARED OUT LIKE A SHADOW WAS A TALL MAN, LONG WOOL LIKE HAIR, DARK, HEIGHT APPROXIMATELY 6"4, LARGE HANDS, DRESSED IN A ROBE AND SANDAL. HIS FACE WAS IN A MULTIPLY COLORS WITH TINTS, TONES AND HIGHLIGHTS AS IF IT WAS A PAINTING. HE GUIDED ME THROUGH THIS ILLUSION WALL AND DOWN THE AISLE. LOCATED ON EACH SIDE OF ME WAS PEOPLE AND THESE INDIVIDUAL WAS SITTING AND SMILING AT ME. I COULD NOT MAKE OUT WHAT WAS AHEAD OF ME BECAUSE THE LIGHT WAS TO BRIGHT. I BELIEVE THAT I SPOKE AND SAID "WHAT IS THIS PLACE AND HE MENTION FOR ME TO CONTINUE TO HAVE FAITH. I SUDDENLY WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT I MUST HAVE VISIT HEAVEN.

Answer:
maybe you visited heaven! and saw jesus

Question : what's the difference between a pool ground cloth and a tarp?
what's the difference between a pool ground cloth and a tarp?

Answer:
The ground cloth sits at the bottom of an empty pool and the tarp covers the top of the pool but the pool remains full.

Question : Should I drain my pool or just let it fill/?
I accidentally left my flip flops under my above ground pool that I just set up. They're squishy rubber, like mold to your feet, with a cloth toe-thong. I didn't notice until I just got in to check the water level, its above ankle right now, but the pool is 42" high. Should I drain my pool and get them, or just let it fill and use it like it is?

Answer:
i own a pool company. drain pool while it is low, otherwise down the road you will get holes in the pool no mater if flip flops are soft or not

Question : intex pool?
I need to know I have level ground, Do I need to put sand down under ground cloth? Everyone says that I should. Please give me your ideas.

Answer:
Using sand is the best way. It's easily molded so you can keep a solid level surface once the water weight is pressing on it. Use a layer about an inch or two thick and use standard play sand (hardware stores usually carry this in large bags and it's more economic this way).If you don't want the sand in your yard then you can set it in the most level spot you have and call it good. They work best when level but I've seen some at really odd angles before and they were just fine.

Question : Pool Vacuum doesn't remove fine sediment and re-enters pool?
Our above ground pool water was crystal clear until pollens or something got in the water creating a very fine sediment on the pool floor that when it's vacuumed simply comes through the filter cloth and back into the water....it's too fine to be held in the cloth. I run the pump but it doesn't change anything...I add the necessary chemicals and nothing. How do I remove this fine sediment which is green in colour??? It looks like lake water...HELP!!!

Answer:
Run your vacuum through your pool skimmer. Usually this is a sand filter or a DI filter. Find out the gallons that are in your pool; take a water sample in a clean jar (a cup and 1/2 is enough) and take it to a pool store and have them test the water. Likely you come back with a host of other chemicals. Quite possibly, even though you've put chlorine in, they'll want you to shock it after the pH is adjusted and, if you don't have any, stabilizer is added. It's maddening...but you'll get through it.
