Can't decide between the XT and MX edgers? This kit saves money and includes BOTH edgers for one low price. Make your painting jobs quicker, more professional looking, and less frustrating. New Painting system allows you to paint the edges of a wall and around trim without using masking tape and without getting onto a ladder. Rollers are washable and reusable. Small microbrush technology cuts in a perfect line. Special metal shield keeps paint from reaching the "clean" side of the shield and getting onto the trim. Perfect for edging accent walls, ceilings, crown molding, chair rail, doors, windows, and more. This deluxe combo kit includes the works! It contains everything you need to get started and to paint an entire house (or more!) You get the XT paint edger (pole mountable), an MX paint edger (helpful if you have a second painter), a paint tray, TWO additional brushes, TWO additional rollers, and a 40" wooden paint pole for painting ceilings. Thirty day money back guarantee if you use it and are not completely satisfied. 90 day limited manufacturers warranty. Made in China.

accurbrush
I was disappointed with the accubrush product and returned the item. The system was not working for me; as well as the video had showed. My project was to paint 1858 sq feet(3X): Primmer, and two coats of paint. I wanted a tool that would be amazing and make my job easier. Most likely, I was using the tool wrong, but I found it cut into my gyproc leaving behind a deep line from the metal side plate. Also, I found it heavy and cumbersome to slide along a 9 foot ceiling. My solution was to buy a very good cutting brush and to hand paint.
The painting tool that I found to be amazing was the paintstick. I used two different brands: Black & Decker and Wagner. My personal preference is Wagner. Some peoples' complaint on the paintstick is that it is difficult to clean. My solution to that is buy one for every colour and throw them out when finished. I could not have survived without the stick. Any non-professional can make it look like a dream with amazing & quick results.
Best of luck & happy painting.

Don't waste your money!
I'm always looking for something new that can give good results while speeding up the process. I had mixed feelings when I read these reviews, but decided to give the Accubrush system a try after watching the company's video on how it works. First, the roller needs to be heavily saturated to get somewhat decent results. Then the mess starts...The paint will literally run down the wall and if you don't mask off the baseboards, it will cover them too. Yes, you will have to press fairly hard on the roller to try and get the paint on the wall. Then as you roll back and forth, the wheels will scrub into the paint leaving skid marks. You'll have to go back and repaint over that...
The end result is that I was disappointed with these tools and after cleaning up the mess, I stopped using the tool. Afterwards, I went back to the method of taping everything...
Don't waste your money!

paint edger does not work well for me.
I would not buy this edger again. In my opinion this product does not cut in very well at all. I am not very good with a brush but I can do better than this edger. Would not buy again and would love to send it back if I could. Would give a better review but I better go do some painting!

disappointed
I was really disappointed with the way this product worked. I can get a better result with a paint brush. The one edger even dug into the drywall, and caused areas I had to repair. I would really like my money back.

not for professional painters
1/4 inch roller nap is not good. for me. as in roller cleaner it is cheaply made, lightweight plastic. removable handle will come off on its own. with that said, For persons who are not skilled at cutting in this will be a good tool. its roller design assures you only use accubrush rollers, due to non standard roller design. no way to pick rollers up at store. i FEEL THE hand held is better than the xt. as in other reviews, For a professional more work to load and clean than it worth. But with patience it does work. Sits in the box now hope to sell it later on. I would recommend this tool for the home owner. If your not skilled with roller poles just save your money and dont buy the deluxe kit, Use a ladder. it comes with cheap roller handle to.

Helpful Tool
I am so happy with Accubrush MX. I moved to a new place so I had to paint five rooms. With help of Accubrush I did it with out much mass. It helps.

not perfect, but helps
Info: 30yr old, painted 2 apartments 1 townhouse 1 house, painted with impressed father, 1700 sq ft house, every room, used accubrush on 70% of house.
I was impressed.
This item excels at door and closet frames. YOU DON'T NEED TO TAPE DOORS, CROWN MOLDING, BASEBOARDS AND CLOSET FRAME. The line it makes is incredible!
However it doesn't work as well as the youtube video I saw of it. Because the shield is only on one side of it, you will eventually have to use a brush to finish the job on a door or any trim that touches the floor(you'll see). I did need a touch up brush a few times, but the tray has a slot to hold this brush which I liked, major convenience (1 inch brush worked well, nothing major required). I was able to walk around with my accubrush and 1inch brush and pretty much handle any detail work in a house.
This item will speed up your painting. I used a brush for the the ceiling detail work on the first coat, and the accubrush for the detail on the second coat. Lightening!!!! I would not use this item for 1st coat ceiling detail work because it just can't get the line right with textured or uneven ceilings. But it did reduce my overall time significantly. Especially along the baseboards (1st and 2nd coat with accubrush). Estimated saved time on a 10x11 bedroom 1-2 hours (I painted an entire 1700 sq ft house, every room), this time adds up with such a large project.
Does not do textured ceiling lines well (I have textured ceilings not popcorn, but probably doesn't do popcorn well either). But as mentioned above, I used a brush the first time to get things perfect, and the accubrush the second time just to go over things. No one will notice a 1 cm mistake along the ceiling if you do 2 coats close to ceiling line.(9ft ceilings)
The tray is too small by about an inch. And there is no comfortable way to hold it or pick it up. NOTICE to the maker. You will get fingers dirty trying to move the tray, but not with the actual product which is unfortunate.
Overall would highly recommend. Saves time without a doubt. Two man teams would be ideal for this product, for large jobs. One man on a roller and one on detail work with accubrush. REAL TIME SAVER! Just don't expect magic and you will be impressed!
Also: tried 2 other types of edge devices from HD. This one beats them both! More durable and reusable. Also is a regular 4 inch roller in small areas (small detail but a big plus around light switches and outlets).

The.......Accubrushhhhh.
Nice looking gadget. Delivered in an extremely timely manner. I figured it out though. It should have an additional brush/guard on the other side that will enable you to do the opposite corners of the ceiling. It only allows painting of one side of the ceiling/wall. That would make it an exceptional product. I also understand that the accubrush is not per say a corner brush, but it is a cutting in tool, and being able to do all the cut-in areas would make this product 100% better than anything in the market.

Fantastic Painting Aid and Time Saver!
This tool worked like a charm! Glides right along the trim and cuts and nice straight line, with a minimum of work, and not a lot of need for masking tape. I can't believe I used to paint without one.

Made my monumental task manageable!
I just bought a new fixer-upper house, and was faced with the monumental (and somewhat daunting) task of painting several bedrooms, and living and dining rooms with beautiful high ceilings, and wainscoating, chair rail, etc. We were dreading doing all of the cut-in work until my husband stumbled on the Accubrush late one night. We decided to give it a try, and I must say that it's not perfect, but it did save us a bunch of time and we're both very glad that we bought this kit.
We bought both the pole mounted and the regular handheld edger. I agree with some of the reviewers that the pole mounted version does go faster, and is great along the high ceilings. It's a little more expensive, but if you have a large painting job, high ceilings, or stairwells, it is worth the additional money.

It works fairly well. The paint tray doesn't hold very much paint but other than that, it's on ok product. Would be better if it came with roller covers.

Broke after one use
Flimsy frame, broke in half before the room was finished using regular (not thick) paint!
Rating :
Very useful
This is a good product, and it gives good results. I have found it to be simpler/easier and produces better results than every other faux finish product/technique I've tried. However, it does take some practice and some effort.
The rollers fit tightly side-to-side in the tray. That results in uneven paint pick-up/coverage across the width of the roller. The way I got around this is to pour a smaller amount of paint into the tray and make sure it stays in the middle. The result is the edges of of the rollers aren't noticeable on the wall, and it looks more natural and blended.
I tried both regular rollers and marbled (Tuscan) rollers. I had better results with the regular rollers, and you can get those inexpensively at any paint store.
The instruction disc that came with the set is helpful since you can see some demonstrations, but practice is still necessary to know how much paint to get on the rollers, how much pressure to apply, and the best combination of stroke length and angles.

Awesome Tool!
We love this product! Be sure you use the two colors next to each other on the paint color card when purchasing your paint, though. If you do what the instructions say and skip a color, the effect is not as smooth. We found this out through trial and error.

I had purchased this product several years ago and loved the results. I loaned it out and apparently didn't get it back. I had to buy a new one, this one worked great too.

Replacement dual cover for the Wall Magic faux finishing kit model No. 0510161A. These dual 4" roller covers create the effect of stone marble pattern of 2 colors.

Magic Roller
I originally lost the magic rollers which goes with the kit, which I was able to find on Amazon. The rollers are new in it's original packages. It didn't take long to receive. I am thrilled I was able to have them ship to my home in such short period of time as such an excellent price. Without them, the kit was useless. It did an amazing job, the walls look great. Thank you!

Flimsy roller frame
I had used this product a decade ago and was very satisfied. The new roller frames are plastic, flimsy and cracked in half before the room was finished (I had painted only one wall). Not a good product in my view.

wall magic marble roller covers
I had this product when it originally came out 15 or so years ago. I loved it then. The new model is now foam and doesn't hold up nearly as well as the old type roller. The sponges seem to be coming off the roller as I used it. Also I could not make the application as lightly as I needed to uniformly. The walls I painted did turn out amazing, but it took a lot more effort than the old type rollers did.

rollers don't match other equipment
I have a Wagner dual roller and unfortunately they changed the size of the rollers so they don't fit their older style dual roller - which means another expense in order to continue to use their products. The previous rollers were 5 inches and these are 4. I guess it's great way to stay in business by changing the sizes so you have to continue to upgrade and change the roller. I was very unhappy about this purchase!
Rating :
Good idea in theory ...
The concept behind these rollers is a good one, and they are very close to being a good product. However, they have a few critical flaws that severely limit their usefulness.
1. The pattern & shapes of the rollers are intended to break up areas of color, and they do that. But the two rollers are the same, so on edges where you don't have a lot of variability on the orientation of rolling, you can get noticeable duplicates of the pattern in each color--like you made multiple, offset copies. This flaw can be worked around by flipping one of the rollers around, but it would have been better if each package contained two different patterned rollers.
2. The corners/edges on the foam pads are too pronounced, which results in very noticeable edges and lines on the wall--the roller pattern is too obvious. In many spots, I could see full, distinct outlines of the shapes. Rolling paint onto a scrap piece of cardboard first diminishes the effect somewhat, but it wastes paint and can lead to too light of coverage or over-blending the colors. Rounding the edges on the foam pads would do a much better job.
3. The roller is a tight fit (side-to-side) in the paint tray, which makes it overly difficult to get an even coat of paint across the width of the roller. The result is spots with hard outlines of the roller shapes (where they pick up too much paint) and bare spots (where they pick up too little).
I found better success with ordinary 4" rollers. These would be wonderful with a bit of modification (cut off the corners, change the pattern on one, etc.), but I expect a product to work well right out of the box.
On the good side, they are easy to clean--much easier than wool rollers.

This refill kit is for the MX and XT series paint edgers from Accubrush. If you're looking for the small "hot-dog" rollers, check out the 1B refill kit also sold on Amazon. These parts if purchased separately would cost over 29 dollars, so this kit represents a significant savings over purchasing the parts separately. 30 day money back guarantee if not satisfied. 90 day limited manufacturers warranty. These are the same rollers and brushes as shipped with the Accubrush. They are made by the same company, fit the Accubrush well, and perform well.

good price
i bought these because the price seemed good and it made the shipping cheaper. didn't use all of them, had 2 brushes left over. i think i might have saved a few dollars by buying just the pieces i needed separately.

Good deal
These rollers are washable and reusable, but it was nice to have extras on hand. We found it easier just to toss the rollers at the end of the day than to have to wash them out in the slop sink. (I hate cleaning rollers!) this package seems to be at a good discount compared to buying the rollers separately. We didn't use all the brushes but we have some extras for our next painting project... and we'll definitely be using the Accubrush for that!
Rating :
accubrush - pricey
for the limited applications, i thought the original accubrush set was a bit pricey. does not work well on textured walls or angled walls/ceilings. if original set was closer to $40, i think it would be worth its limited applications. now that i used it, i wouldn't pay more than $50 max for the original set w/ the extension but instead it costed closer to $90. refill kit at $20 ok.

Questions & Answers
Question : Need someone with experience on repainting a 15yo wrought iron patio set that is rusty?
Essentially I bought a patio set from soneone that is around 15 yo. It was taken car of quite well and no metal is bent but it is rusting underneath the table ledge and the umbrella hole. The black paint looks dull and sunbleached as well. I don't believe it's ever been refinished. I want to remove all the rust and repaint the entire thing. I want to know details in the steps required. I was told by many people to use Naval Jelly or a rust converter to remove the rust. That is easier then sanding because you can get into all the corners. I want to use a rustoleum black glass paint. Do I have to sand all the paint off to bare metal? I want to use a roller on the table should I use a foam roler? Is Spray the paint better? Also I want to do the chairs but how will I get the paint off all those little corners and rods? Should I use a stripper? I heard strippers are messy? Should I prime as well? What applicator should I use for the chairs considering how detailed they are?
Answer:
I have had this same situation. I found someone that could 'sand blast' the set... it sands off all the rust and old paint... you pay a little to have it done, but in the long run, you will be much happier with how it turns out! I got the rustoleum paint (white tho) and sprayed on the paint... it takes a few light coats if you go with the spray.if you use paint on paint instead, I would use a foam brush or roller. you can use a regular brush to get in all the corners. the spray paint will get in all the bits and corners and such better tho... you COULD use some of each... using the spray for the tough areas and finishing up the bigger areas with your brush/roller.I would stay away from the stripping agents, as it is a horrible mess (been there done that too!)
