Customer Review :
Works perfectly
We bought these for the front door to our building. A standard doorstop was too small to stop the door. These work perfectly. They're made of a soft grippy rubber so they don't slide around.
Rating :
Doorstop purpose.
I needed something to keep my kitchen door from blowing shut from the wind when I leave it ajar for my cats to get in the house, and your doorstop works perfectly. There don't seem to be any stores that carry doorstops any more, so it is great to be able to get one by mail so easily.
Rating :
Lightweight doors only
I wouldn't recommend this doorstop unless you have a non-weighted, interior door... comparable to something you could prop open with a shoe.
I give it a four star rating because I'm sure it does fine for light-weight doors.
Rating :
Simple and effective doorstop
I bought this door stop when my office door kept shutting on me. It has about 1/4 inch clearance from the floor. It works just fine in holding it in place. It is simple, cheap and effective. If you have a door that will not stay in place, buy it.
Rating :
As Door stoppers go, this stops doors
As the title suggests, if you are interested in stopping a door, than this rubber stopper is interested in helping you out.

Nickel finish.
Customer Review :
Very strong magnet and sturdy quality
The product has a high quality feel, heft, and finish. It works as advertised. It is easy to install but removing the back plate of one of the base is a little puzzling. I ended up using a thin screwdriver like a key to unscrew/twist off the back plate.
Rating :
Must have for Kids bathroom
That door just would not stay open! Until now, this magnetic door stop worked magic for my daughters bathroom.
Rating :
Beautiful and functional
This is a great product. It was easy to install, it's a very nice looking piece and grabs the door everytime with a flawless hold.
Rating :
It holds but does not automatically catch easily.
Pros: It will hold a door open even if the door has a heavy swing arm.
Cons: It will not automatically catch the door, you have to hold the door against the Magnetic catch for a couple of seconds before it catches. So you can't just swing the door open and expect it to automatically catch. The door just bonces off the magnetic catch if not held for a couple seconds.
Rating :
Great device!
Easy to install, functions beautifully, looks good. What more can one ask of a product?

Editorial Review :
How much is your personal and family security worth? The answer is priceless, but it won't cost you nearly that much with the Buddybar Door Jammer. Of course you can buy door jammers that are less than half the price of ours. But before you do, we encourage you to compare the products. We think you will agree that the Buddybar is engineered with far-superior quality and addresses common points of failure in cheaper doorjammers. Now isn't that peace of mind worth it? Sometimes you really DO get what you pay for!The Buddybar Door Jammer is made of 16 gauge, powder coated steel. There are no plastic parts on the Buddybar. The Buddybar installs in seconds, no tools required. The foot is 2"x4" rubber coated, steel, articulating, non-marring, providing for a solid grip.Great for Home, Apartment, Dorm, Traveling, extends from 36" to 51".The Buddybar works great on carpet, tile, concrete, wood.
Customer Review :
Rock solid.
Make no mistake about it, this is the best door jammer on the market. Very heavy, solid steel construction, not cheap aluminum. You could run over this thing with your car and it would not even dent. Also the handle and gear system makes daily installation a snap (you put it into place with the lever up, then push the level down and the it expands to tighten the seal). We use it on carpet and took turns trying to kick in the door as hard as we could. The wood door actually started to show signs of giving up (small cracks) and this thing didn't even budge. The bad guys better bring a chain saw to get through the door with this thing around.
Rating :
Strong, Solid Resistance
I already had a similar device made by Master Lock that seemed to be pretty good. As soon as I got this, I knew it was even better. It is solid and has a better "foot" mechanism to prevent slipping on hard floors. It is very adjustable and doesn't use the weaker spring-pins to lock the adjustment like the Master version. It weighs more than twice as much as the aluminum Master version. I definitely recommend it.

Great piece of gear
I bought the buddy bar because my girlfriend is living in a shared apartment without a locking bedroom door and she told me she wasn't comfortable with one of the room mates. So I began searching Amazon for something to secure the door without installing a lock. After searching and reading reviews on products similar to the Buddybar for two hours I finally ordered it. I am quite impressed with the Buddybar Door Jammer; it's easy to use, very high quality all-metal construction and my 5 foot, 90 pound girlfriend can quickly put it on and off the door with ease. When I installed it, I had my girlfriend grab the bar near the foot and pull to remove it in case of a fire, the Buddybar popped right off. The only complaint I have is the rubberized coating on the head has begun to rub off from a small area after only 4 uses. Despite this small problem I would definitely buy the Buddybar again. Kudos to the Buddybar people on a great product.
Rating :
Solid product
First and foremost, it is easy to set up and use. It works very well and gives us peace of mind. Finally, it's portable so the user can set it up anywhere he or she chooses.
Rating :
Buddybar
The Buddybar Door Jammer has given us peace of mind while we sleep at night. We only have a deadbolt on our door and it gives us that extra security. It is made out of strong material and so far we are very happy with our purchase.

Editorial Review :
There's someone at the door. If you have a typical peephole in your door, you get a distorted image like a funhouse mirror, which is no fun at all. The Brinno Peep Hole View changes all that. It gives you an LCD panel that displays who is at your door. Simply push the button and see a large, clear 2.5in. image (similar to a digital camera display) of the person outside your door. The viewer works in low light and eliminates "fish eye" distortion. Press the button a second time and get a zoom image that enlarges the center of the image for a closer look. It also turns off automatically after 10 seconds to preserve battery life. Replaces existing peepholes in doors 1 3/8in. to 2 1/4in. thick. Quick, easy installation. Uses 2 AA batteries (included).
Customer Review :
I love this product!!
I bought one beucase of my kids and I love it!!! It's super easy to install and it has a big bright image.
I am happy with this product!
Rating :
Bad viewing angle
The viewer installed easily. However, when using it the viewing angle is only clear from straight on and below. I am about 6 inches taller then the viewer and the image is washed out when looking down at it.
Rating :
Better than a regular peephole, but...
I liked the idea of having a small monitor instead of the peephole, specially after I found out about the "reverse peephole" look-in devices (kind of scary!) Anyway, I received the Brinno PHV132512 Electronic PeepHole Viewer - it is nice and light, instructions were precise (a plus there!) and easy to understand - it took me less than 3 minutes to install (and if I can install it, anyone can - I'm "mechanically challenged!") - all in all, pretty good system, but... I wasn't horribly impressed with the image quality and the time it takes to get a clear image (-1 star for that.) I have good eyesight (thank God!) and the image was...at best OK...what I really liked was the zoom feature, really cool - the other day I caught the UPS dude leaving after he threw a parcel at my door (curses!) - I used the zoom feature and I clearly saw the brown uniform (more curses!) :-)

Great product
Great product and very easy to install. The only thing I needed to do was put a 100 watt equivalent fluorescent bult on the front porch.( it had been a 60 watt )This light bulb change was needed for nightime viewing only.

Peephole in gold tone only?
Nice gadget. Works. But the peephole comes in gold-tone which looks ridiculous, and so yesterday with modern door design and hardware. Need to offer different finishes.

Editorial Review :
Although fiberglass screens are very resilient, between pets, kids, and severe weather they can take quite a beating. And what starts out as a small tear or fray will eventually become a giant hole if it's not taken care of. Rips and tears in window, door and patio screens are more than just a eye sore, mosquito's and other biting insects can carry a variety of harmful pathogens. Thanks to the tool free installation of this Prime-Line Products Self Stick Screen patch, you've got no excuse not to patch those holes. These 3''x3'' charcoal color adhesive fiberglass patches install quickly and easily.
Customer Review :
Shipping Issue Resolved / Product Great
I bought a quantity of 2, so my subtotal was $5.96, but the 12-day shipping charge was $10.92. After I mentioned this, Deerso admitted that there was an issue with the shipping calculation and refunded the fee. The product was received and I was able to patch a few holes in my screened porch. We have had 2 windy rain storms and everything is great. The product is easy to use and is exactly what is advertised.

The answer to screen door holes
The only reason I give this 4 stars is because the adhesive sticks a little too well. There is a seam in the middle of the patch that allows your to separate the paper backing from the patch. Unforunately, I cut the patch to size before I realized that if you don't peel along the seam you can't get the paper backing off. So cut vertical strips which included the seam and you will be fine.
Otherwise, I tried many different types of solutions for the holes my dogs put in my screen and nothing held permanently until these patches. They work like a charm.

perfect solution to torn screens
I've used these patches on my sliding screen door which is opened/closed/and pressed upon by my kids dozens of times per day. The patch was super simple to stick on and is holding up perfectly weeks later. A tip I discovered, for small holes, you can cut the patch to the size you need instead of using a hole patch... this will make your purchase last much longer. I've saved over $100 in screen repairs by buying this simple solution. So glad I found it!

I bought these screen patches because I had some torn screens in my windows and front door due to pets. These worked great! Took care of the job better than expected. I will definitely buy them again if I need to repair my screens.

Question : Trying to find Bathroom door hardware for older door with 11/4" bore?
All doors now seem to have 2 1/8" bores. I don't want to enlarge the bore unless I have to. Any ideas on who sells this size of door hardware?

Question : Can I paint the metal garage door hardware?
Is there a paint that easy paints over metal garage door hardware? I've seen many commercials about the paint that goes over plastic and all kinds of stuff. I should probably take a trip down to the Home Depot, but I was hoping you guys would have some suggestions! :)
Answer:
There are paints for every application!! They even have spray paint chalkboards (there a hit with my kids)! You'll have no problem finding what you need. Rustoleum (sp?) is a good brand. Since it's spray paint it allows for easy application just ensure that it's for metals and has weather protectant. I've painted lamppost and other metals and haven't needed to prime it first and it's still holding up fine, no rust in sight.

Question : is it possible to refinish brass hardware (door knobs, hinges, and strike plates) for interior doors?
is it possible to refinish brass hardware (door knobs, hinges, and strike plates) for interior doors?
Answer:
Most brass hardware is not solid but plated. If you are experiencing the finish changing most likely they are the plated type. You can get these items re-plated but the costs would not only exceed replacing them but would also exceed the cost of install solid brass hardware. If you do have solid brass you will know it because you can polish the hardware back out to new looking.

Question : I put in new front door hardware. When I turn the knob to the left its fine, but when I turn it to the right,
it sticks. Should the knob be able to turn both says? If so, what did I do wrong?
Answer:
The knobset isn't centered in the big hole that goes through the door. Loosen the two screws behind the knob and pick up the knob slightly, then retighten the screws (not too much). This should correct the problem!
