Pocket the fun!

Works great, is the standard for diy pocket joinery. I have used this to build furniture, cabinets, and for garden boxes. Works well, has a strong joint, and have no problems with the equipment. Get your screws in bulk if you can to save some money.

Always know exactly where your keys are.

Secure, Reliable Key Storage
Trustworthy and secure, the 5400D offers a convenient locking solution that holds up to five house or car keys. Great for people on the go, the 5400D means you'll always know exactly where your keys are. And for added peace of mind, this key safe will withstand the tools a thief might use to attempt entry.

The 5400D is a great key safe for people selling their homes, and it's also a smart choice for families with children who may need to enter the house when an adult isn't present.

Weather-Resistant Key Safe Hangs Anywhere
With a compact, lightweight design and portable, over-the-knob mount, the 5400D can be hung exactly where you need it--on a door, fence, or post. The compartment door pivots smoothly and remains attached to the lock body. For further convenience, an easy-grip, dome-shaped dial with contemporary metallic finish features easy-to-use combination dials.

Because the 5400D is most commonly hung out of doors, it's designed to withstand the elements. Specifically, a shutter door protects the combination dials from weather, dirt, and grime, so the result is rust-free performance and long life.

Built to last, the 5400D boasts durable die-cast zinc construction with vinyl-covered shackles to prevent scratching. What's more, its reinforced, molded body is built to last and helps to withstand hammering and sawing.

The Master Lock 5400D Key Safe is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Personalized Four-Digit Combination for Optimum Security
With the 5400D, it's easy to set your own four-digit combination. Just enter your chosen code for complete control over access to your keys. And because it offers up to 10,000 combination possibilities, this system is more secure than key locks, and it gives you the option of resetting the combination whenever you wish.

Jammed shut after 2 months

I had owned the lockbox for 2 months, used it 15 - 20 times, and then the black piece that you slide down to open it jammed up. The numbers could still turn but the black piece wouldn't move. Called Master Lock and they said to call a locksmith.

Solid lock

We bought this to use outside our house. It's held up wonderfully in cold air/rain storms. Would definitely recommend.

Couldn't get the door to close after 2 months

When I bought this it worked great. I used it for bed and breakfast guests and the cleaning staff for two months. A couple of days ago I had to remove it from the gate temporarily. When I tried to set it up again, the key door wouldn't close. I think the spring inside the key area that allows the handle closure to lock got stuck when I removed it and began blocking the key door. Considering it was the very first time I had tried to take the thing off the gate and put it back, that's not very reliable. I'll be trying something else.

Like new again

I was a bit worried when my garage door opener only made the whirr from the motor spinning but no action from my door moving. I removed the cover to investigate and found a gear had been reduced to white nylon powder and a circle on a shaft. I could move the door freely by hand on the track and was worried of what the greater problem was that caused the gear to disintegrate, but went with a rebuild kit as a a try, well the kit worked great and had clear instructions. I would recommend this kit for anyone with a destroyed nylon gear.

Rating :

A cheap alternative to replacing the whole GDO

I decided to replace the gears in my opener rather than replace the whole opener under the theory that it could be done more quickly and easily than a wholesale replacement. (My assumption was that a new opener probably would have new mounting points that would require removing and replacing all the rails and brackets.) I'm not 100% sure that's true, but I think it was easier. Removal and replacement of the gears probably took about 90 minutes once the GDO was sitting on my workbench. The instructions in part seem to read like you could do this with the opener still hanging from the ceiling. Maybe, but I don't think that's worth the effort. Two points to watch out for: 1) once you assemble the opener, don't bench test it--if you do it will cycle all the way to the limit switch and when you go to re-install it it won't work until you take the cover off, remove a clip and small worm gear, and manually move the limit switch back to mid-range. Not overly difficult but unnecessary if you just resist the urge to plug the opener in to see if it works. 2) Watch the orientation of the main drive shaft upon re-assembly. It functionally doesn't matter, but there's a plastic guard attaches to 3 points in the top of that drive shaft flange. If it's not oriented correctly, the guard won't sit over the chain. Personally the guard looks unnecessary so I decided I wasn't going to completely disassemble and re-assemble the GDO to fix that!

Overall though, it's not too hard of a repair--there was only one piece that was a friction-fit bushing that was a little fussy to remove.

Installation was easy. Seems to work ok but makes alot of noise compared to the original.

Garage Opener Works Perfectly Now; Semi-Easy Fix; Worth 2 hours

I bought this kit after my 1995 Sears Craftsman Chain Drive opener quit working. Like many others here, I heard the motor turning, but there was not movement of the chain. After taking the cover off the opener, I saw the "snow" inside of the case. It was a two hour operation to replace the components in this kit. I am not especially handy, and was able to do it with just a few tools (screwdrivers, metal file [remove a burr to get the work gear off], pliers, and a flashlight). It was definitely worth the gamble to me, and paid-off. Hopefully, I can get another 10 years out of this now.

Thrilled ... for 2 months

I was thrilled to find this product and reviews as they led to exactly the correct replacement. My only frustration is replacing a part that lasted 11 years only to have it "snow" after 2 short months. I'm about to reorder it, but need to find out what happened that led to such a short life-cycle.

nice, but short range

pros: compact, sturdy design, positive button feel, bright LED light, operates two different garage doors so it replaces two clickers.

cons: weak power, shorter range than the stock clicker it was replacing, has to be held outside an open window for it to work.

Works great

Very easy to program to a 20 year old garage door opener by using dip switches. Also easliy programmed to operate a new opener. I did both by following the excellent instructions included with the unit.

Rating :

Does not support middle setting for 3-position DIP switches

I bought this hoping it could open my new garage door (with my Liftmaster 3850 it works perfectly, that part was fine) and also the gate to my community.

The gate to my community uses a type of Chamberlain 3-position DIP switch that the remote says it supports, but it doesn't support the middle-position. (The three positions are +, -, and 0 in the middle. This remote can't do the middle 0 position.)

If the 3-position DIP switches were used on my own garage, I could change the code on the opener and my remotes to avoid the middle position. But this is the gate to my community, and many people have remotes that open this gate. This remote is getting returned since it doesn't work for me...

I never write reviews, but perhpas I can spare someone.

Bought this and followed the programming instructions, several times. Everything seemed to work until I tested it. I called customer service. The automated system stepped me through setup again, but it still didn't work. I was then given the option of speaking to a live person, but after a seeming lifetime on hold I gave up. Customer service, with no estimated wait time and perpetual hold is not acceptable. I wasted a couple hours of my life on this and ultimately returned it for a refund.

Chamberllain Clicker is a 5 Star Winner

The home I bought was eqipped with a Chamberlain garage door opener but no remote opener was supplied with it. The Chamberlain KLIK1U Clicker Transmitter Universal Garage Door Remote Control worked like a charm; it took me longer to first read the instructions than the actual installation took.

Editorial Review :

Above All Co. The Forearm Forklift moving straps were designed in 1997 by a professional mover who is still very active in the industry. After many years "on the truck" he felt compelled to invent a tool that actually eliminated the risk of floor damage. A claim that only the Forearm Forklift can make since the dolly and hand truck require the rolling of wheels on your sensitive floors. Coincidentally, he also designed them ergonomically to encourage proper lifting techniques and body mechanics. They are actually the first and only OSHA accepted moving tool ever to reduce potential injuries due to heavy and repetitive lifting.

Benefits:
- Reduces weight of item being carried by 66%
- Creates handles on any hard-to-handle pieces
- Great for going up and down most stairs or truck ramps
- Tight turning radius (excellent for 90 degree turns in hallways and switchbacks in staircases)
- Will never scratch wood floors, break tile, stain carpets or rip vinyl (linoleum)

The Forearm Forklift was awarded "Best New Product of the Year 1999" by the Industrial Equipment News whose constituents are solely top professionals in the business.

Specification:
- Adjustability: up to 48 inches
- Weight Capacity: 600 pounds per pair (tested at 2,720 pounds)
- Material: super strength webbing, bonded thread at each joint and padding in each insert
- Padding: felt for comfort in any adjusted length
- Color: improved/changed to safety orange
- Dimensions: 9 feet 4 inches long
- Weight: 1 pound per pair
- Package Dimensions: 8 inches wide by 9 inches tall by 2.5 inches deep
- Package Contents: 2 straps

They help...

the straps help with certain items with no grips but doesn't make moving SUPER easy.

Rating :

Love them!

I was a bit skeptical too, but had an Amazon gift card to use, so I decided to try them. They are awesome! My husband and I often have to move heavy things, and I always struggle -- not because I lack the general strength, but because I'm always relying on my fingertips to support a piece of furniture. The forearm forklift puts the weight on your arms, and not your hands/fingers, making things so much easier to lift and carry. I like them so much that I just bought a pair for my brother, and will get some for my Dad as well.

We have used them on stairs without too much of an issue - it is just a matter of balance, like anything else. It's still a hundred times easier than carrying it by hand. I would definitely recommend!

Rating :

Great straps, but takes a little getting used to

I've used this straps many times, at first it was awkward, and not very intuitive.
But eventually I got used to lifting with the inner elbow, and hands clasped around the corner of the furniture. My arms probably has a 20 degree angle(perpendicular to the ground, not 45) It's definitely worth the purchase.

Getting the optional 3.5ft Extension Strap is crucial for picking up large piece of furniture, like long dresser, or tall entertainment center.
(Actually this is what makes it worthwhile, because smaller items usually aren't much of an issue for 2 movers, but larger items that are loaded up can be, take it fro me, I've been 6years in business and counting)

You'll amaze yourselves with what you can carry!

Rating :

Saved my back

I bought this to help move several large couches. I could have used a dolly and tilted the couch onto it, but this worked well and saved me from having to bend over and hurt my back. (Keep your back straight when lifting.) I'd use this only on flat surfaces and not on stairs. I wouldn't use this item as depicted in the advertising photo (i.e. lifting a tall armoire up some stairs), but otherwise I am pleased with the product.

Rating :

They Work Great!!!

We used them the first time with a peice of furniture that you could not get a grip on to lift. They worked great. Even with the height difference between my husband and me. I truly recommend them.

Question : hardware??
how do u add hardware without using the windows xp pro disk?? PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION!! I ASKED LIKE 2 times ALREADY AND STILL NO ANSWERR!!USB drivers for muvo mp3 player!!

Answer:
1. Plug in the hardware.2. Install the drivers that came with the hardware. If you do not have a disk with the drivers, you can usually download them from the manufacturer's site.

Question : What hardware will work with latest Ubuntu?
I am planning to build a new linux PC, what hardware will work with the latest ditro of Ubuntu? Is there a list somewhere I can look at? I am tired of linux telling me it will not support parts of my hardware.

Answer:
Just about any hardware will work fine, but I can give you some tips.1. NVidia's been having some trouble lately, and AMD has been doing an amazing job with their Linux drivers. Even better, AMD's moving ATi to an open source model (they're just working out licensing) so I'd recommend an ATi video card. The latest drivers from AMD even support redirected rendering for 3D on a 3D surface (like the cube), and Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, due out in April of next year, will have DRI2 (again, redirected rendering) working on the open source Radeon driver.2. Your biggest issue will be a printer. HP and Epson are both very well supported. For other brands, check before you buy. Personally, I love my Epson.3. Wireless shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just find what chipset the wireless is using, and you should be OK. Ralink, Atheros, Intel, and Broadcom are the most common, and should work fine.4. TV Tuners, IR receivers, and Bluetooth devices will be your odder ones to find. That said, it's about as difficult getting ones with good Windows support. If you are looking for one of those components, I'd recommend asking a specific question.Good Luck, and have fun with Linux! I know I do every day, and the best part: It has so far run just fine on every computer I've stuck it on! Even the Bluetooth on this Netbook, and the RaLink wireless on my MSI, the weird Radeon with dual-DVI on my Dad's desktop, and the totally random WiFi card in my friend's desktop.

Question : Whats the difference between high end drum hardware and low end hardware?
Guitar Center is only allowing me to sell high end hardware but I don't know the difference!

Answer:
This is like asking what's the difference between a Nissan Micra and a Range Rover after all, they both have a wheel at each corner. There's a saying, quality always costs less. If you can't actually hear a difference it's probably because you're not sensetive to it but you should be able to recognised other differences such as build quality, materials etc. Quality hardware will usually last longer and sound better.

Question : Where can I find hardware to anchor my bookcases to the wall for safety?
I have 2 (tall and narrow yet very heavy) bookcases just moved to an area with extra thick carpet padding. They easily tilt back and forth with ease. I need to anchor them to the wall but how? I take it that I will need to screw conecting hardware in to the wall and bookshelves, but I do not know how to and with what hardware. Please help I do not want my kids and/or pets to get crushed accidentally!

Answer:
If you can attach them to studs within the walls, lag screws and washers will work best. If you can not attach to the studs you will need to use a molly bolt. Lowes has the best selection for different wall and application types.

Question : What is the best hardware for high quality video capture?
I have a short film that has transferred from a Panasonic DV format to High Grade VHS. I want to be able to transfer this to my PC in order to edit it at the highest quality available (VHS I guess). Anyone got any tips on what hardware to use?

Answer:
If you transferred your footage from the DV tape, to a VHS, and then back to your PC, from what others have told me, you run the risk of losing some quality in your footage. Like the person before me told you, your best bet is to get a Mac. Then again, I've done some work on a PC and a PC has produced the same quality as a Mac. It's whatever you're comfortable working with, but many people will tell you to go with the Mac.

Question : How a hardware device discovers the MAC address of another in the event that it is unknown?
As data packets are moved from one network hardware device to another over a network, hardware address (MAC adresses) come into play? So how a hardware device disovers the MAC addrss of another in the event that it is unknown.

Answer:
Data packets are split into 8 parts. the first part is called the Header. This part contains the MAC address of the sending unit as well as other information. It is an automatic process.

Question : What piece of hardware does my laptop need to run faster and be able to handle more stuff?
Basically, im trying to make a movie on sony vegas here in HD. But my pc cant handle 1080p. ITS RUBBISH at it. It keeps closing down. So what piece of hardware do I need to make my PC be able to handle hard tasks.Im guessing its the same thing that lets it play next gen games.

Answer:
Leave the MACs for the Hemp Users. You could always use RAM, we all could and well worth the buy! As long as you are not running Windows 95/98 you should be fine. You can get a faily large HD now for $80 these days. SO go with RAM & HD you'll be fine. Oh, yes.. As long as your Processor is atleast 500mhz too.-But you WONT be changing that anytime soon.

Question : What would be the hardware required to make a laptop computer?
I just need the basic hardware, NO SOFTWARE! I don't think it'll make a difference but i want a 2.3Ghz duel core processor, 2+gigs of ram, a good graphics/audio card and 200 gigs of mem (and could i use externall memory for it regularly as in for a few hours at a time?).Thank you very much people and goodnight!
