Good
I too bought this compressor from Costco and it came with a finish nailer.
I have used it extensively and am very happy with it. It isn't commerical quality, but it's perfect for anyone's home workshop/garage. Obviously it won't run tools that require huge volumes of air for extended periods of time. ie. you can't use a die grinder for minutes non-stop, but you can use a die grinder you just might need a little patience now and then.
All compressors are loud, this one is no different. It does not run continuously, so get a longer hose and put it further away if it bothers you.
The weight is exactly what you'd expect, for a 4g compressor like this. FWIW, I like the convenient handle to lift it with.

The facts about this air compressor
Don't believe everything that the editors at Amazon wrote about this compressor. It will not be the best tool to use when sandblasting or painting. With those jobs you need a large tank capacity like over 20 gallons at least, this compressor only has 4 gallons. Yes it is true what the other reviewer said, this compressor is loud, but what do you expect all air compressors are relatively loud. And yes this compressor is heavy I think it's about 70 lbs. Hitatchi's twinstack oil-lube version is about the same as this compressor but goes for twice the price. I gave this review three out of five stars because of the weight issue and because I havn't had enough time to use it extensively. Other than that I think that this compressor is a buy because it's oil-lubed (more reliable than oil less), affordable, and made by a company that is known for it's air compressors.

It isn't what it's advertised to be
I have a few issues with this compressor. First and foremost, Amazon describes it as "Campbell Hausfeld HL5502 1-1/2 Horsepower 4 Gallon Oiled Twin Hot Dog Gas Compressor" as of today (April 4, 2008). It is NOT a GAS powered compressor. It is ELECTRICAL, and you can verify this at the Campbell Hausfeld website. My other big issue is that it is made in China. That may not be a big deal to you, but it is a big deal to those of us that care. My last issue is that for it's size, this thing weighs a ton! It weighs almost as much as my old 15 gallon Campbell Hausfeld compressor (which was made in USA), but at least that thing has some wheels on it to help move it around.
Spend a little extra and buy a Jenny or a Thomas compressor if you're gonna get one of these things. Those are some fine machines and they're still made in the USA too.

Noisy air compressor
I just got this compressor a day ago. It came with a Campbell Hausfeld 2 1/2 inch finish nailer, an air hose and a quick release air fitting. The price was $169.00 for all of it from COSTCO. The compressor fills up quickly but is noisy. I have not try out the nailer, but am planning to return the package due to its loud noise.

incomplete package
As someone who is new to the Air tool game, I didn't want to spend alot of money seeing how I do not use air tools regularly but wanted to try them out.To get longer service life than oil free units, This compressor is an oil lubricated unit and yet it does not come with oil! I guess thats one way they can cut costs... It also does not come with a quick connect fitting at the output end, but rather has female threads that you screw an air hose into. I saw this compressor for 139.99 and put it on my wish list. When my wife went to buy it it jumped to 149.99. Now, 2 days later its back to 139.99-VERY SNEAKY< AMAZON! I got the free shipping and it only took two days to get here, so I shouldn't complain i guess. The manual is not very well written at all, so take your time and read it over a couple of times! When you get this compressor, you will have to go out and buy; 1 bottle of mobile one synthetic motor oil(10w30)for abot 5 dollars, a 1/4 inch fitting and quick connect(about 12 dollars). Now you are ready to plug in a hose and air tools.I am extremely happy with this compressor-it really isn't any noisier than other compressors in this price range-lets face it-compressors are a power tool and thus are loud!I did not find the noise that bad at all. It produces 5cfm at 40 psi, 4 cfm at 90, so it will run alot of tools besides nailers on an intermittent basis. It produces 125 psi max, and rycles when the unit runs down to 100psi(about 21 shots on my brad nailer) and does not cycle long. My total investment to get this up and running was still less than 200 dollars which is not bad for an oil lubed compressor. This unit would have been 4 or 5 stars if it came with better directions, oil, and a quick conect fitting on the end.

Air Cube 1
This compressor is a contractor's dream. It can easily power up to three nail* (see note below) guns simultaneously with the 5.4 CFM @ 100 PSI air delivery. The higher pressure and flow allows running longer hoses.
The unit weighing in at approximately seventy pounds can be easily moved, but I usually keep it locked on the truck and run hoses to the work area. The unit portability allows using tools like nail guns, impact wrenches, ratchets, sanders, drills, cutters and spray-painting in remote locations. This 1-1/2 foot cube gas compressor fits in the trunk of a midsize vehicle. The unit can be lifted using the well-placed handle on top. The weight is equally distributed. This is the only gas power compressor that I have worked with that a single average size person can move (alone).
The 4 HP Honda engine is efficient and can operate a workday on one tank of gas. The engine optimizes fuel efficiency by automatically slowing to an ideal speed when the air tanks are full. The engine has three operator controls: on/off, choke and fuel shut-off. The engine usually starts with one or two pulls. The fuel line should be shutoff before turning off the engine to ensure an easy startup. Like most Honda engines, the engine has a low oil shutoff sensor.
The engine, even while operating faster to fill the air tanks, is relatively quiet allowing a normal conversation a few feet away. The engine has a noise-reducing muffler built in. It is quieter than the pancake compressors I have used. The base has four pads to absorb vibration and further reduce noise.
Each air tank has a separate moisture drain valve to keep the tanks from rusting on the inside.
The unit is well painted with a durable paint that is standing up well to the daily abuse of our construction site.
The best feature of all is, no more electrical extension cords, no worries about breaker amperage ratings and no more length of wire power drop concerns.
* The air regulator comes with two 1/4" female NPT thread connections. One of the connections has a hex plug. When I tried to remove the plug to add a hose coupler with an Allen wrench I stripped the head. The plug has some type of thread glue to lock it in place and keep it from vibrating off. Since I could not remove the stripped hex plug, I used the air gage connection to add a tee. Husky (Home Depot) has a brass tee, skew number 661-219 for this purpose.
