Nice

These are the best safety glasses/goggles I've yet owned.
I got them for mowing, weed-wacking, and yard work in general, with the idea that they'd help keep the dust out of my eyes, which they do very well.
Very wide, unobstructed field of view, very comfortable to wear for hours on end.
The product description doesn't mention it, but they fit comfortably over my glasses. They might not fit over *any* glasses, but mine are average sized, so unless you wear the Buddy Holly-style horn rimmed glasses, or big aviators, you'll probably be fine.

Don't forget to pick up a pair of this item's tinted brother: Dewalt DPG82-21C Concealer Smoke Anti-Fog Dual Mold Safety Goggle

not a good design

There is nothing anti-fog about these goggles. They will leave an impression on your forehead for hours after use that makes you look like you are angry... They also did not seal well below my eyes. I could see daylight through the seal. I recommend trying a different pair. I would like to have that $13 back.

Comfort plus Visibility plus Name

These goggles are fantastic for the price. They are the most comfortable safety glasses I have ever worn. They have a nice suction to your face as well to keep out dust particles and stuff. They are very lightweight. Fit my head perfectly and are crystal clear.

referencing the size of these goggles

i have a job which requires eye protection now and again, mostly for preventing airborne dust from getting in my eyes. for this need ive been using an old pair of ski goggles for the past couple of years. the ski goggles work great but are a little silly looking for my needs and nearing the end of their life. i thought to myself "these dewalt ones look much more compact than big 'ole ski goggles and thats just what i want." alas now that i have them here, be forewarned that these ARE ski goggles..just without the foam insulation. theyre huge. twice as big as what i thought i was in store for. i cant really fault the item for this, but just be forewarned if you were hoping for something along the lines of motorcycle goggles, these aint it. from my perspective, a quick glance of the product picture fooled me into thinking they had two lenses, not the single ski goggle lens before me. a better picture should be provided, tick a star off for that. and knock two additional stars off because with a rubber seal instead of a foam one, unless you have the perfect dewalt shaped face, there ARE gaps when i wear these. with dust as my enemy, gaps around the nose are a disappointment. also the thin plastic strap clips look very easy to break. the search continues

good clear goggles

I use to own a pair of simple Dewalt goggles which I lost Dewalt DPG54-1C. I just got these and I put them on they fit really nicely on my face and felt comfortable and sealed snuggly. I don't wear prescription of any kind so that is not an issue for me in this review. They provide no distortion at all when viewing out of them which I was surprised at. One thing I like is because it's a single viewpiece with no middle divider I would forget I was even wearing it because of the unobstructed and clear view. Also it says UV 99.9% protection on the box something I did not see on the description when I ordered it but it's a nice feature. After using these for a week I have to lower to 4 stars reason is it does dig into the skin epidermis and dermis and leaves a mark on the face and I don't like that, perhaps after a long time it will soften up but right now that is unknown.

These are high quality plastic framed glasses with hard lenses (not cardboard). The lenses are RED & CYAN color and are for use with the home 3D version of the home DVD Polar Express or any other 3D DVDs that require RED/CYAN lenses (such as Hannah Montanah).

These glasses will NOT work in the movie theaters nor with movies that require magenta/green lenses. The DVD must be the "3D" version.

3d glasses

Not much to say, glasses shipped quickly and arrived on time. i mistakingly bought the wrong glasses (i don't own the polar express) so I do not know if they will work for that movie, but they work for my 3d needs. glasses smudge easily so be careful.

Rating :

AWESOME

I've been reading reviews about how paper glasses are better than these. I am pretty sure they have never tried these and are just fuzzing. These glasses are so much better than paper ones because each color covers your line of sight most of the way compared to the paper models. Honestly, me and my friends didn't expect these to look any different and we were wrong. These are perfect for watching Anaglyph movies and pictures on a large TV, but do seem to cause a strain when looking at stuff on LCD and CRT monitors!

3D

These glasses work perfectly for all my red/cyan 3D needs and are quite comfortable too. I don't own Polar Express or have any desire to see it, but I imagine that title was just tacked onto this unrelated product to generate sales. These are just normal, everyday 3D glasses, ignore the Polar Express part.

Not as expected

Quality does not reflect price.... EXCELLENT
The concerns are eye restrain, low depth and images phase differences
I would not really recommend as I've tried it with several 3D movies on my 32" Panasonic LCD with big disappointment but really works good on my other 42" Plasma

Great for Labs

I bought this goggle for my college chem lab. I have to say, it did the job well. It never fogged up on me, even when I wore it for 3 hours straight. It was able to fit over my glasses well. My only dislike was that the elastic bands go directly over the top of the ear and it can be uncomfortable. I was able to mitigate this by rotating the band so that the thick part was resting on the ear rather than the sharp edge. Other than that, these were great!

Rating :

Good but...

The goggle works great as described and as it's intended to be used. The lenses are 100% anti-fog, that is for sure, but ventilation is bad. 2 minutes and my prescription glasses would fog up and I'd have to remove the goggle for 5 seconds to get clear visibility, and this is why I rated it 4. It's NOT comfy as not wearing, that's for sure, but this is what you get for a well-secure goggle (although can be improved). Overall, as an amateur, I'm very glad about this product.

Not good for glasses. They stink, really!

I work in a chemistry lab and wear goggles anywhere from four to twelve hours a day, five to six days a week. Common splash goggles become uncomfortable after a few hours, so I decided to try a few better quality goggles. I wear glasses.

On the plus side, these AO Safety goggles are comfortable. The single-piece lens is flexible and exhibits very little distortion. The goggles readily conform to the face, make a good seal, and are plush. The strap appears durable.

On the minus side, the lens is tinted, the goggles are heavy, the lens pushes against my glasses, and they emit a horrific odor.

Although the lens is obviously high quality, it is tinted. The tinting is subtle, but became more obvious as time went by. The goggles are obviously intended for working in a chemical hazard environment. Most such environments are indoors, so there's really no logic to the tint. It's not dark enough for full sun protection, and diminishes the apparent indoor light.

Compared to other goggles, they are heavy. The strap keeps them well positioned, as does the seal they make to the face. But, after a few hours of wear, they become wearisome from the weight pulling on the face.

The goggles' ability to conform to the face makes them unsuitable for glasses wearers. The edges of the goggles take a sharp turn around the temples. The arms of my glasses contact the lens, forcing the glasses into the bridge of my nose; I don't have big glasses. There are cut outs for the arms of glasses which are readily removed with an hobby knife.

These glasses stink. After removing the goggles I could smell the chemicals that leached from their manufacture. This odor remained with me for two to three hours. Whatever is causing the odor cannot be good for the health. Also, as a chemist, odors are one clue that something bad is in the air. Since the odor from the goggles was so overpowering, the inability to smell lab chemicals is a safety hazard.

I cannot say whether or not they are fog proof or fog resistant. The lab is kept air-conditioned. I can see why some occasional goggle users would like these, especially if the use is for periods less than one hour. For full-time lab workers, they are not suitable.

Great fitting protection while wearing hard hat and has a good quality clear lens.. I recomend them..

Rating :

Zee goggles! They do nothink! Wait, yes they do.

Nothing fancy about these goggles. They're decent anti-fog chemical splash goggles that are accommodating of certain minimalistic eyeglasses and they seem to do a good job of keeping the liquids out. I use my pair primarily for doing work around the lawn when spraying chemicals of various sorts that you don't want backspraying into your eyeballs. Not sure I could have found anything better for a ten-spot.

Very nifty

Work great for cutting the grass in the insane Florida sunlight (*Even though I'm not sure how healthy it is for me to use them as sun-glasses). The lenses are removable, so you can change them out if you have your own glass, or want to use the clear plastic that is with the tented lenses. Personally love the look, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a pair of steam punk goggles, with a little work they could look great. Others have mentioned them digging into their head/nose, but I haven't personally experienced any trouble with them.

Buy the identical, cheaper alternative instead.

I bought these goggles and US Forge 108 Shaded #5 Economy Cup Brazing Goggles, figuring that one would be better than the other for a passive infrared goggle project. However, what I found was the US Forge goggles were identical in every way -- right down to the markings from the injection molding machine and the blue stripes in the elastic band. The only difference is that the Hobart goggles come with more packaging (a hard plastic box) while the US Forge goggles come in a sealed printed plastic bag.

As goggles go, they are perfectly usable although not overly comfortable. The eye-to-eye spacing is adjustable with a beaded chain (if you shorten it, cut the tails so you don't bonk yourself in the eye like I did).

Great goggles!

I'm not a welder, nor do I intend to delve into someone else's realm. I *do*, however, find that these goggles make for some excellent sunglasses! With the straps, instead of legs/arms, they stay on the face much better. The only real downside is the discomfort on the bridge of the nose. Still, the ups much outweigh the downs. Questions & Answers
Question : What about this 3 Homeland Security computers lost daily valued at some $90,000 apiece 116,349 Truck missin?
Federal documents obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request reveal that two divisions of the Department of Homeland Security – charged with assuring the integrity of U.S. borders and the safety of residents – lost nearly three computers every day for a year. But an official statement assures citizens that no "sensitive" data was lost. A report on the computers, which were designated as "lost" or "not found during physical inventory," was issued by the Independence Institute in Golden, Colo., after it obtained the federal paperwork. Federal agencies also "lost" several computer switches valued at some $90,000 apiece and a multitude of vehicles, including a truck worth about $116,000. But Jon Caldara, president of the institute, said the absence of documentation about the information on the missing computers is what is most alarming. "You can't lose thousands upon thousands of computers and make a blanket statement there was nothing of value on any of them. The fact that they're gone means you can't make that statement," he told WND. "I see the Department of Homeland Security here more as the Department of Insecurity."He said if the agency could prove there was nothing of value on the units, "then terrific, then they're just being wasteful and careless."But he questioned how the government can be so sure there was nothing significant, citing the scandal over missing computers and allegations of purloined nuclear secrets at the Los Alamos National Laboratory some years ago. The report by the Independence Institute's Todd Shepherd revealed that for fiscal year 2008, inventories from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Customs and Border Protection divisions show employees collaborated to lose no fewer than 985 computers. The Customs and Border Protection division documented lost, stolen or damaged equipment (1,975 pieces) worth some $7.5 million. For ICE, it was 1,547 items worth $5.8 million. Officials with the Department of Homeland Security did not respond to a WND request for comment. "When I look at these inventories with my own eyes, page after page, I still think there's a good chance that we're dealing with some significant security breaches, and possibly insider theft," Caldara said in the report from the institute on the situation. The report said Caldara had written to DHS Inspector General Richard Skinner seeking an investigation for the losses. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=126218What about this 3 Homeland Security computers lost daily valued at some $90,000 apiece 116,349 Truck missing,40 "personal radiation detectors"; three 14-inch LCD panels, each valued at $5,000-plus; four entire computer sets, identical in cost at $5,741, and 10 Dell Optiplex computers, among many other items ?

Question : im doing a speech on why the FDA should regulate personal care prouducts and i need more information help!?!?
so this is wht i have so far:Do you think that major businesses would avoid putting there customers in dangers way, when they would make lots of money even by doing so? I don’t! For example, just look at are tobacco companies. Every year many people die from using there products. Yet they continue to sell and produce there products because there making millions from it. Did you know that your cosmetics and personal care products aren’t even regulated by the FDA before they are sold to you? The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health discovered that 884 out of the 2,983 chemicals available to be used in cosmetics alone have been reported as toxic substances to the government. If the FDA doesn’t start regulating these products then just think about it that’s millions of people everyday that are putting themselves in danger of serious harmful conditions. There are statistics and sceneries that prove that cosmetics are a danger to the pubic. And proof that the FDA dose not regulate cosmetics nor do they make very many efforts to warn you or the dangers. One of the main reasons the FDA should regulate personal care products is the FDA website directly quotes that: “Cosmetic products and ingredients are not subject to pre market approval authority, with exception of color additives. However, FDA may pursue enforcement action against violative products or against firms or individuals who violate the law.” The FDA also states that: “Cosmetic firms are responsible for sustaining the safety of their products and ingredients before marketing failure to adequately substantiate the safety of a cosmetic product or its ingredients prior to marketing causes the product to misbranded unless the following warning statement appears conspicuously on the principal display panel of the products label: warning –the safety of this product has not been determined.” Their for because the FDA dose not regulate cosmetics and other personal care products just by using the products you are putting yourself in danger of cancer, genetic damage, and other serious conditions. Cosmetics include: baby powder, bubble bath, toothpaste, deodorants, shaving cream, hair tonics, hairsprays, colognes, sun tan lotions, mouth washes, baby shampoo, hand lotions, shampoo, conditioner, hair dyes, moisturizing cream, and many other products. Americans think these products are safe. But this confidence is too unjustified. Our public wants and demands higher standards of protection. This protection has been established for drugs, medical devices, and food additives but not for cosmetics. The Cosmetic industries want people to believe that no effective regulation of cosmetics is necessary at state or federal level. The FDA doesn’t even do much, to protect or warn women when it comes to the danger of using femine hygiene products. Not only have that but the legislation prohibited states from taking action as well. Cosmetics are under-regulated and too often hazardous. Here are just a couple examples of people that found this out the hard way: A 59 year old woman almost died from a allergic reaction she had to hair dye. Another woman of age47 had her cornea destroyed by a mascara wand. A 6 year old girl and her mother used air product that resulted in second degree burns on her ears and neck! As result of using a inflammable hair treatmfgbfgytjjjyjyjtjhhnnnhjnjhjjjmmmmjkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk……..zzs very scarred. Other examples of injures that cosmetics can result in are: pain and tissue damage, sores, eye infection, cancer, blindness, eye problems such as; rash, redness, swelling, and inflammation. And the list goes on and on. For every one million cosmetics products purchased there are 200 more visits to a doctor to treat cosmetic-caused illnesses. A study for consumer product safety commission in 1987 found that in 1 year alone, cosmetic products result in 47,000 emergency room visits. Between 1985 and 1987 more then 150,000 cosmetic related injures occurred. One third of chemicals used in cosmetics are toxic. More then 125 ingredients that are in cosmetics are suspected to be the cause of cancer. 20 cosmetic ingredients may affect the nervous system; this includes headaches, drowsiness, and convulsions. Birth defects are suspected to be cause by another 20 cosmetic ingredients. The GAO concluded that: “cosmetics are being marketed in the united states which may pose a serious hazard to the public.”I believe that the cosmetic companies should be regulated by the FDA. To make The likeliness of a person becoming injured less. And reduce the number of visits to the emergency room because of cosmetic related injures.i need a 10 minute long speech for my speech and debate class and this isnt long enough i know i need to deosite all my statistics(which r in one paragraph right now) but i ineed more information....everywhere i look its the same old stuff so can someone please help me get a few more paragaphs and stuff so i can be

Question : Is shooting left-handed with a right-handed shotgun a big deal?
I asked the question a while ago about the Mossberg 12ga. tactical persuader shotgun and the answers have pretty much got me very excited to purchase one. Now I'm just wondering in your personal opinion, how do you feel about shooting left-handed with a right-handed shotgun? While I have never tried this yet, I don't believe that the shells will cause any distraction to me as they fly through my line of sight. The main concern is more along the lines of safety, what are the chances of receiving an injury to the face by a shell being ejected from the gun? I will of course be wearing eye protection at the range.. but in the event of a home invasion there isn't much opportunity to throw on some safety glasses. The safety position on this particular gun is on the top so it operates the same for right and left-handed shooters.

Answer:
When it comes to tactical shotguns, in many ways, using a gun with the ejection port to the inside (lefty shooting a right handed gun or righty shooting left handed gun) is better, because the ejection port is easier to reach with the support hand for slug select drills and jamb clearing. In fact, many right handed shooters will pay top dollar for a left handed 870, and then pay to have the safety swapped for the right hand version for this reason. Vang comp has built a number of custom 870's for right hand shooters based off of left hand receivers. I personally want to buy one of the lefty vang's.
