Customer Review :

Amazing Device

This device is so great, I wanted to see which appliances were pulling power when they were off. The Watt/Hour function is great, it will tell you how long the device has been plugged in to Kill A Watt and how many watts it has used. It is also a great tool for measuring Amps if you want to run an item off a DC inverter. A Must Have for any house hold.

Rating :

Easy to use and works great

This device couldn't be simpler to use and works great. I found an online calculator I use to to enter the time the unit was recording, the amount of kwh used during that time and the rate of my electricity that the electric company charges me, then it spits out how much it costs per month and year. Just search for kill a watt calculator in google and you'll find lots of these. I'm amazed to see that my 42inch tv uses almost as much electricity as my full size freezer! I highly recommend this product.

This thing is great

This thing is great, and it helped me realize how much energy my lamps and stereo were using. It was SHOCKING

Rating :

This SUCKS

This is a piece of junk, you can't view the data unless you have it plugged in, so for me, when I plug it into small or hard to get at places, or when I use bigger plugs (like the Air conditioner which the plug covers the display on the unit) I can't even read it, and if you unplug it, it loses all the data you were looking at.
So even if you can manage to read it while plugged in, it doesn't really tell you anything useful, it just has
meaningless stats.
Waste of money.

Rating :

Great value for price

Kill A Watt meter works exactly as advertised. I have been using it for a month now and I am still pleased. My only issue is that you can not fit the Kill A Watt meter into a normal 2 outlet plug and still use both outlets.

Customer Review :

Reluctantly, a 1 Star for deception

Okay, look at the reviews for this product, and look at the dates. It was stated some time ago that a buyer orded Quake Care blankets, you know- LIKE THE PICTURE! But that buyer got EverDixie blankets. Now, all this time I later, I paid my money for the Quake Care blankets listed in the description and shown in the picture yet I too was sent the ED ones. I haven't yet opened one to see if it's worthwhile...it sort of defeats the purpose to waste one to see if it's usable (I already know the QC product is, I've used them before).

Maybe the product I got is decent but it's not the product I was sold. Given that this bait and switch is an ongoing affair, I can see no other word to use but fraud. Did I send them back? They were $5 bucks, not worth messing with. That's probably what the vendor figures...no one will bother. So no, I didn't send them back but I will at least alert potential buyers that this vendor is knowingly, willingly defrauding buyers by sending them a different product than they agreed to purchase.

Amazon.com should ditch this sleezy, disreputable seller. And if that seller simply doesn't realize their copy is outdated, this should be the notice they need to correct it. But since they've been doing this for quite a while I imagine they just don't care.

Product Substitution

I ordered 4 Quake Kare Emergency, Item 3AQK-4P, Thermal Blankets and received 4 EverDixie Rescue blankets. I thoroughly researched the Quake Kare product and am not happy with the substitution.

Rating :

There when you need them.

These emergency blankets are great to take with you camping or for preparedness. Keep a couple in the car for emergencies like car accidents you may come across. We have ours in our bug out bags.

Rating :

Not what I ordered but works OK

I ordered a Quake Kare item but received a different brand. While the item I received works for my purposes I do not trust this seller anymore and will never order from them again.

Rating :

Exactly as described.

There were a few reviews wherein either the wrong number of blankets or an alternative brand of blankets were received. I just got my blankets in the mail today. Two four-packs of Quake Kare emergency blankets, exactly what I ordered. The blankets are high quality and seem fairly durable. They don't seem to flake and won't rip or tear easily. Shipping was fast too.

Above All Co. The Forearm Forklift moving straps were designed in 1997 by a professional mover who is still very active in the industry. After many years "on the truck" he felt compelled to invent a tool that actually eliminated the risk of floor damage. A claim that only the Forearm Forklift can make since the dolly and hand truck require the rolling of wheels on your sensitive floors. Coincidentally, he also designed them ergonomically to encourage proper lifting techniques and body mechanics. They are actually the first and only OSHA accepted moving tool ever to reduce potential injuries due to heavy and repetitive lifting.

Benefits:
- Reduces weight of item being carried by 66%
- Creates handles on any hard-to-handle pieces
- Great for going up and down most stairs or truck ramps
- Tight turning radius (excellent for 90 degree turns in hallways and switchbacks in staircases)
- Will never scratch wood floors, break tile, stain carpets or rip vinyl (linoleum)

The Forearm Forklift was awarded "Best New Product of the Year 1999" by the Industrial Equipment News whose constituents are solely top professionals in the business.

Customer Review :

Doesn't work well on stairs

These will come in handy when moving things over flat surfaces. They can be very dangerous when using them on a flight of stairs. The person at the top better have some strong forearms.

The Pros use these

We had a new refridgerator and washer delivered and the delivery guys used these. They made it look almost easy. They swore by them, so I got some. And, true enough, they work, particularly for the large and/or bulky. They don't do much for small, heavy stuff. I'm still looking for that cheap levitation device. Or perhaps meditative moving, as in Maybe if we all concentrate we can levitate the Pentagon. In the meantime, if you feel compelled to move large objects, try these. My spouse and I have been in the process of moving for a while now, out of the old dump, into a temporary storage apartmenet while we await the beginning of our new house lease. In the process we've had to move a lot of heavy stuff several times. We hired a couple of college kids to help and we were using these things.

Second pair

We bought these to replace a pair that we have had for a few years. We have found that they work well even when there is a significant difference in height between the 2 individuals who are lifting the object. At this point they have been used to move my parents, my household twice and my sister's household once so they did not sit unused. We ended up using the straps for some purposes that were not recommended though (pulling/rolling 400-500 lb rocks) and we ended up abrading and damaging the straps and ultimately they broke. However I cannot fault the straps since we were not using them for their recommended uses. Considering how much we used the old pair, it was a given that we would replace them.

Rating :

Moving straps

Overall these work well. Only bad thing is my husband and brother-in-law were moving our armoir. They tried the "criss cross" method - you place the straps across each other underneath the piece of furniture so it forms an 'x' My husband's strap slipped, armoir fell on his feet and broke 1 of his big toes! : ( Sooo as long as you use the straps the "normal" way, I would reccommend. They do relieve a lot of strain on your back and leverage the weight well.

Wonderful Product

This item was fantastic during our move. It was easy to use and really worked as it was intended too. Moving our mattresses, fridge, stove, washer and dryer was a breeze. We highly recommend this item.

Good buy

It's the perfect size for important household documents, and I got it at a great sale price. I can also fit my computer backup drive in there. It has a very tight seal. Wish it had a handle!

Rating :

Recognizing it for what it is

This is not a safe to protect against thieves.

I have rated it four stars ASSUMING it will keep documents safe in case of fire or water damage. I have not tested it in this regard.

The reason I knocked one star off the rating is because of the locking mechanism. I don't understand why there is a lock to begin with. A thief could simply carry the entire "safe" off with him, but this is not necessary since a little force is sufficient to pop it open by hand while locked.

I had the safe in a deep cabinet, and was pulling it toward me by the handle when the locking mechanism gave way and the safe was opened. The handle used to open the safe is made of plastic, which would certainly melt in a fire (again, leaving the valuables inside unlocked).

Overall, as long as it does its job in case of fire or water damage, I'm pleased.

Rating :

Pleasantly Surprised

My H2300 arrived today and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised. For the price, I was expecting something smaller and heavier. But the H2300 is roomy enough to fit two large textbooks inside and still light to lift onto a high shelf without strain.

I do agree with those who said that a handle would be a nice option. I'm also a bit concerned about how well the plastic latch release will hold up. But overall I'd say this item is a good value for the money.

One caveat: I would not recommend this item for a child or someone who is elderly and frail. The cover is heavy, and when opened to less than 90 degrees it falls closed rapidly. This is probably a feature (to ensure it closes watertight when closed but unlocked), but it could be a danger to someone without much strength in their hands. (It might also be difficult to open.)

Rating :

Suits its purpose

I purchased this safe after reading numerous reviews from other consumers. It arrived very quickly and was well packaged. The safe itself holds all of my important documents and has plenty of room for jewelry items and a handgun. It is well constructed. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the key is not the greatest and in fact I had trouble opening it the first time. After a couple attempts, I got "the feel" for the key and have had no trouble since then.
It suits it's purpose and is priced very reasonably.

DEWALT BRANDED GOGGLES - Built-in ventilation channel ~ Provides extra fog control and ventilation ~ Dual injected rubber for soft comfortable seal ~ Clip attachment for easy lens replacement ~ Cloth head strap ~ Provides a comfortable adjustable fit ~ Polycarbonate lens for impact resistance

Customer Review :

good clear goggles

I use to own a pair of simple Dewalt goggles which I lost Dewalt DPG54-1C. I just got these and I put them on they fit really nicely on my face and felt comfortable and sealed snuggly. I don't wear prescription of any kind so that is not an issue for me in this review. They provide no distortion at all when viewing out of them which I was surprised at. One thing I like is because it's a single viewpiece with no middle divider I would forget I was even wearing it because of the unobstructed and clear view. Also it says UV 99.9% protection on the box something I did not see on the description when I ordered it but it's a nice feature. After using these for a week I have to lower to 4 stars reason is it does dig into the skin epidermis and dermis and leaves a mark on the face and I don't like that, perhaps after a long time it will soften up but right now that is unknown.

Rating :

uncomfortable

doesn't feel comfortable, not really soft rubber, won't fit over glasses.
Still don't know if it will work with a mask or will fog up

Rating :

Comfort plus Visibility plus Name

These goggles are fantastic for the price. They are the most comfortable safety glasses I have ever worn. They have a nice suction to your face as well to keep out dust particles and stuff. They are very lightweight. Fit my head perfectly and are crystal clear.

Rating :

not a good design

There is nothing anti-fog about these goggles. They will leave an impression on your forehead for hours after use that makes you look like you are angry... They also did not seal well below my eyes. I could see daylight through the seal. I recommend trying a different pair. I would like to have that $13 back.

referencing the size of these goggles

i have a job which requires eye protection now and again, mostly for preventing airborne dust from getting in my eyes. for this need ive been using an old pair of ski goggles for the past couple of years. the ski goggles work great but are a little silly looking for my needs and nearing the end of their life. i thought to myself "these dewalt ones look much more compact than big 'ole ski goggles and thats just what i want." alas now that i have them here, be forewarned that these ARE ski goggles..just without the foam insulation. theyre huge. twice as big as what i thought i was in store for. i cant really fault the item for this, but just be forewarned if you were hoping for something along the lines of motorcycle goggles, these aint it. from my perspective, a quick glance of the product picture fooled me into thinking they had two lenses, not the single ski goggle lens before me. a better picture should be provided, tick a star off for that. and knock two additional stars off because with a rubber seal instead of a foam one, unless you have the perfect dewalt shaped face, there ARE gaps when i wear these. with dust as my enemy, gaps around the nose are a disappointment. also the thin plastic strap clips look very easy to break. the search continues
