replacement water filter
This is a pretty good filter. It installed easily in my KitchenAid Refrigerator and water quality is great. Although pricey but a much better option than bottled water.
Thanks.

Refrig. Filter
This model filter does a better job filtering the bad taste out of our local city water. Only will use this model filter because of that.

great price!
The shipping took a bit long but it's exactly what I needed for my refrigerator at a great price. Thanks!

5 days since order and the item hasn't been shipped yet!
It should not take this long to ship an item that should be available off the shelf. It is ridiculous that I am not allowed to even cancel the order and get the product some place else.

Customer Review :
Questionable life cycle
This package is definitely a lot cheaper than the ones from Sears, who makes a living by charging ridiculous prices to unsuspecting customers, of which I had been one of them, paying twice for a couple of years. However I find the specification of this package as lacking some capabilities of the Sears model. Not sure if this is a marketing requirement by Sears or there is really a difference. I have no problem with the water quality, though I have not experienced the thrill other reviewed have demonstrated.
I live in Chicago, one of the best water sources in the nation from Lake Michigan. But my refrigerator signals me to change filter only after 3 months of usage. This really makes me feel suspicious if the 6 month manufacturer recommended usage period is an exaggeration of what the filter can really manage.

IT FITS!
On reading previous reviews, it fits in my Kenmore. Sears wanted $80 for one. I got two for less. Awesone. Expect a bit of sputtering and weird taste for a bit when first installed. (Run the water until it tastes good or dump that new made ice.) Then it works great.

Great value.
Almost half the price of Sears. Great value and free shipping! I will be purchasing these again.

Pur filter for my Kenmore Elite fridge
Works great - totally plug-and-play. This is labeled as a Whirlpool filter but it will work with Kenmore Elite and other Kenmore appliances that use the PUR system. As you know Sears and most places sell these for at least 50.00 so this is a great value. I chose this one over the PUR-branded filter because of another review I read. Evidently according to the label this one filters out more "stuff" than the standard filter. This is a great buy.

Pur Filter - Works for Kenmore refrigerator
If you are searching for the Pur filter for your Kenmore Elite refrigerator, buy it here. Sears sells this filter under the Kenmore name - 1 filter for $54 !!!! Save your money and buy this 2-pack. It works perfectly in our Kenmore refrigerator - it is exactly the same filter that we replaced, it just says Whirpool instead of Kenmore.

love your wide selection and quick delivery. Had a hard time trying to find this item in stores, your site described and 'found' what Iwas looking for quickly and painlessly. This filter installs easily, and works beautifully.

It fits, it works and it was at a good price. What more can you say about a water filter for the fridge?

Water Filter
Product is very easy to install and operates well within 1-2 minutes. No black specks or metallic / plastic tastes as described with related lower priced products.
Rating :
Best price around
The price for these filters is the lowest I have found for the exact name brand, and I have looked both locally and online. I have cause to buy alot of water filters (for rental properties). This is a great deal, especially the two pack. And for those who have trouble getting the right size filter, it is easy if you just search online for your model number (mounted on a plate in your fridge). That or a fridge filter website makes it very simple.

Great buy !!
After seeing the price at the manufactures site, I decided to hunt around and I'm glad I did. Saving over $17 on the exact same product is always a pleasure.

Questions & Answers
Question : Do these kitchen appliances use less electricity than a single large burner on and electric stove?
1. A wok 2. Slow cooker 3. A large deep frying pan for almost anything. All of these three appliances are electric.
Answer:
Actually, it costs less to cook in a Slow Cooker, than it does in an oven on stove top.

Question : What color appliances look better with natural maple kitchen cabinets?
I'm remodeling the kitchen and using natural maple cabinets. They are made of maple wood, have no stain, but just a urethane finish. Very light color, but popular. Would black or white appliances look better with these cabinets? I'm selling the house, so I don't want to buy expensive (stainless steel) appliances.
Answer:
I think white looks best with lighter wood.
|
Question : What are the best appliances to fill in for a basic kitchen?
I'm considering moving into a barebones, student style studio in Manhattan while doing a grad program. I've found some great deals, but none include real kitchens. They just have a sink, some counter space, and a fridge/mini-fridge. Other than a toaster oven, microwave, and Forman Grill, what sorts of smaller kitchen appliances would allow for the greatest variety, but take up the smallest amount of space.
Answer:
electric hotplate 2 burnertoastercan openerskip the grill unless you have a balconey it uses too much space.

Question : I need new appliances, any suggestions for the best brand?
I am buying a house, and all of the appliances are old, and need to be replaced. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best brand to buy?
Answer:
Everyone will have good and bad stories for their particular brand but I have had good luck with Kenmore and Frigidare. Many of these brands are made by the same company with different names. I also like to see customer feedback on the item I am considering. Sears.com still is the top retailer for appliances, and each one has a section for customer feedback. Consumerreports.org also rates products independently. It does cost to have full access but it is well worth it if you are looking at buying just about anything. Many times however, they have free reports particularly on appliances. The cool thing is they are non-profit and when they test a product, they go in anonymously to a store, negotiate a deal and take it to the lab to test it. So it's not like they are getting sent a hand picked model that is guaranteed to perform well. Now go get 'em!

Question : Is stainless steel appliances worth all the finger prints?
I thought about getting the ''stainless look'' appliances, but I worry about it rusting if It gets scratched or something. We just bought a new home and we are getting ALL new appliances as well as washer and dryer. Any tips on good brands and stainless steel vs stst look?
Answer:
That is all yuppy stuff, Black is all the rage in my house and it looks dang good to me.
|
Question : How many kitchen appliances do you own?
How many kitchen appliances do you own?Which one do you use the most? Why did basport get a thumbs up?A washer and Dryer are not kitchen appliances.
Answer:
Assuming you mean small appliances...I say too darn many! At one time we would buy every one that came along; including a hot dogger, pizza maker, elec. carving knife, elec. wok, toaster oven, George Forman grill # 1, 2,3 and 4. Most have been garaged saled (sold) or are stored in the garage. Most used; coffee maker, microwave, blender and mini food processor. OK?
|
Question : What are the best small appliances for my future kitchen?
I'm moving into an apartment in a week, and am trying to plan what I should buy for it. The kitchen already has an oven, microwave, etc... so what I'm looking for are small appliances like a toaster, Foreman grill, and so on. I'm a rookie when it comes to kitchens, so I'm wondering what the most important, most versatile, and most cost effective appliances I can buy are. So far, I'm planning on a toaster, pressure cooker and an electric contract grill. What else should I get?
Answer:
Kettle/coffee maker. it really depends on your lifestyle and what you like and dont like. Go to the shops and have a look around to see what you need

Question : Where can I find appliances for assisted living homes?
Im trying to find a distributor that specializes in selling appliances such as bathtubs, stove tops, etc for assisted living (senior homes). If anyone has any info for me it would be greatly appreciated.note: I dont need it for myself. Im a realtor and im trying to convert a building.
Answer:
You should be able to get information from a home health care provider on how to get assistance from the government and be able to get appliances, etc. free or for little money. If you call a home health care company, you can just get the informaiton to the goverment offices that help with this sort of thing. My neighbor did this and got a new fridge free because her social security wouldn't cover it but she was able to get what she needed for free. Good Luck.

Question : What color appliances will work in my kitchen?
In my kitchen I have oak cabinets and oak wood laminant flooring. I really want stainless steel appliances. Right now my counter tops are butcher block, but I don't care what color they are, I just really like the looks of the stainless steel. My question is will the stainless steel work with the oak color and a basically western style decor? Also, what color countertops would you chose if this combination works?
Answer:
I think stainless steel appliances will work with just about any cabinet type or color. Stainless steel is basically a neutral color. In general, countertop colors come in almost any color you can imagine. Most home centers/cabinet places have laminate samples that you can bring home to compare against your cabinets. Choose a color that you like, keeping in mind that neutral colors will help with the resale of your home. I tend to pick lighter beiges or grays with some sort of pattern to them. A pattern like a granite look or other stone looks nice, pulls in some other colors and crumbs show up less if you aren't always wiping your counters down. My kitchen (brand new!) right now has a black/beige granite pattern with medium reddish oak cabinets and stainless appliances. I love the way it looks!

Question : What are some appliances and brand names? Also what is there wattage and forms of energy produced?
So I'd like to know some appliance brands and know the power rating in wattage for each appliance brand. I need to know at least four of them for my hw and I'm having a bit of trouble on it. Plus I don't know what forms of energy these appliances produce.
Answer:
Ok, all appliances USE energy, they don't produce it. And the energy they consume is called electrical energy On all your appliances you'll see a name plate that usually says like "input voltage, 120 volts, 8.0 amps, 60 hz", kind of thingAll house voltage is usually 120 volts for appliances and anything you plug into the wall.So look at your coffee maker. On the bottom will be the nameplate or the back of it.The formula is this Watts = volts x amps.So in my house I have a Proctor Silex coffee maker and the bottom says --- Input 120v ., and 10 amps. So the watts of my coffee maker are 120v x 10 amps = 1200 wattsI have a sunbeam microwave, there is a label on the back , but right on the front it says 900 watts. On the back it says 110v-120v at 7.5 amps, so again 120 volts x 7.5 amps = 900 wattsI have a sunbeam blender-- the label on the bottom says 120v at 6.0 amps so it uses about 720 watts of powerI have a GE iron. The label at the very end says 120 volts at 10 amps, so 120v x 10 amps = 1200 watts of power.I have a Bissell sweeper. There is a nameplate in the back down by the wheels. It says 120 volts at 12 amps. So 120v x 12 amps = 1440 watts of power, so it is the biggest hog of electricity in the house as far as appliances go.You can check your toaster...plates on the bottom same thing-- 120v x 10 amps = 1200 watts
