Poor Quality

This item does work but it is not well constructed and fell apart after a few days of use. Also, it fit well in most French plugs, but in others the spacing was slightly off and it would not. There are many lower priced, better quality alternatives.

I bought this adapter for my trip to Switzerland so I could recharge camera batteries. In spite of it being sold as a European adapter, the prongs didn't fit. They were too big. This adapter may work for some European countries, but not for Switzerland!

Good for grounded schuko sockets only

I bought this adapter so I could use electronic devices with American plugs in France. It fits well into round grounded European schuko sockets, but will not fit into the smaller recessed non-grounded sockets I was surprised to find in many places. If you only use non-grounded American plugs, the smaller non-grounded adapter will be more versatile as it will fit in all sockets.

Great Price, Worked Great Too

These were a lifesaver in our recent trip to Spain. We brought two different types of European adapters, but only this one worked (and it was much cheaper). It fits nicely into the recessed plugs we found in our Spanish hotels, and accepted both polarized and grounded US plugs.

Simple product, does what it says, built well.

I've been looking for a simple adapter that will take a USA plug and allow it to be used in European electric sockets. This VCT plug adapter does that and does it well.

I've had variants of this type of product for many years and usually the problem is that they made flimsily and the sockets are loose, leading your electrical device to fall off the plug. This one is well built and the slots are snug.

Also the adapter does not extend too far from its own slot, so does not prevent you from using multiple plugs.

These are the same filters sold in stores across the state. Same quality/ less expensive.

These filters were a great buy. The only thing I wish they had was the little screen half way down the center to hold the chlorine tabs but I don't know that it made that much of a difference.

Great buy!

By the end of July my local Walmart was out of these filters for my Easy Set pool, as was Target. So I went online and was able to purchase them at a lower cost than I had been paying at either store. These filters came within the week and have worked great ever since I began using them. I bought 12 so they shall get me through this summer. (I use one a week when my grandchildren are here everyday) You can bet I will be buying them this way, next year!

Pleasantly Surprised

My H2300 arrived today and I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised. For the price, I was expecting something smaller and heavier. But the H2300 is roomy enough to fit two large textbooks inside and still light to lift onto a high shelf without strain.

I do agree with those who said that a handle would be a nice option. I'm also a bit concerned about how well the plastic latch release will hold up. But overall I'd say this item is a good value for the money.

One caveat: I would not recommend this item for a child or someone who is elderly and frail. The cover is heavy, and when opened to less than 90 degrees it falls closed rapidly. This is probably a feature (to ensure it closes watertight when closed but unlocked), but it could be a danger to someone without much strength in their hands. (It might also be difficult to open.)

Recognizing it for what it is

This is not a safe to protect against thieves.

I have rated it four stars ASSUMING it will keep documents safe in case of fire or water damage. I have not tested it in this regard.

The reason I knocked one star off the rating is because of the locking mechanism. I don't understand why there is a lock to begin with. A thief could simply carry the entire "safe" off with him, but this is not necessary since a little force is sufficient to pop it open by hand while locked.

I had the safe in a deep cabinet, and was pulling it toward me by the handle when the locking mechanism gave way and the safe was opened. The handle used to open the safe is made of plastic, which would certainly melt in a fire (again, leaving the valuables inside unlocked).

Overall, as long as it does its job in case of fire or water damage, I'm pleased.

It's the perfect size for important household documents, and I got it at a great sale price. I can also fit my computer backup drive in there. It has a very tight seal. Wish it had a handle!

Suits its purpose

I purchased this safe after reading numerous reviews from other consumers. It arrived very quickly and was well packaged. The safe itself holds all of my important documents and has plenty of room for jewelry items and a handgun. It is well constructed. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the key is not the greatest and in fact I had trouble opening it the first time. After a couple attempts, I got "the feel" for the key and have had no trouble since then.
It suits it's purpose and is priced very reasonably.

All round Sharpener at an All Round Price

This sharpener does nice work with my CRKT m16 knife which has gotten pretty dull (i abuse my knives). The carbide blade reset it fairly quick, but def not in the 10 or so strokes the company says it will take. The ceramic finisher is a nice touch up. Cant say much about the "diamond coated rod" though, the serrations on my blade have always been sharp. I tried this with my Panga machete too, did a decent job but took awhile just to get a decent edge. This isnt for people who are really specific about their expensive knives, but if you have a couple edges that could use a good sharpen, this could be for you.

Pros: Carbide and ceramic blades are can be replaced. (The other side could be used too)
Very compact, stick it in your pack or in your glovebox and you'll never be without it
Very affordable, sharpens numerous times at a meager cost
Works fairly well, but it works

Cons: Set degree (20 or so on each side im guessing), but its general purpose so it works for me with a couple outdoor knives
Sharpening rod seems a bit cheap
takes a longer time to sharpen then one would imagine

Verdict: Overall a great product, and even if you are a knife enthusiast, keep one around, you'll never know when you'll need it.

I bought this after I bought the sharpening stone kit by Smiths. I bought this one because I needed the serrated edge sharpen stone and find I don't even use the double stone kit anymore. This sharpener didn't work at all when I first bought it. Because it has a lanyard and so easy to use - I kept using it. I found after about forty minutes of breaking it in - - AWESOME. It sharpens surgical sharp just be very careful because it is a bit hard to use at the end of the stroke. It is well worth the money! It fits right into my survival kit! It is super effective and very affordable....

JUST WORKS!

I'm no expert, but this little gadget just plain works! I can't testify to durability as I have had it only a week, but I sharpened 7 straight edges and 6 serrated steak knives and I'm pleased with the simplicity and speed of use! I also attached a little key chain to it.

Pretty slick sharpening tool!

I bought this to get me over the Free Shipping amount, and figured if it was a Smith's product, it must be okay.

I'm very happy with the tool! It rapidly dresses blades from my 'fingernail cleaner' up to the 8" kitchen knife. It is not the tool you use to salvage a round-edged blade, but that is what stones are for.

The other feature, the 'spur', as I call it, does the trick on serrated blades.

My beloved old pocketknife, a Gerber EZ-Out, had gotten to a bad state. I use it for everything, including some tasks that I'd be ashamed to mention. The serrated edge and the standard edges had dulled, and the standard edge a bit rolled.

Note: Although I suppose you can use the PocketPal freehand, I don't. I hold the tool down on a table (or bench) edge to control it. The carbide cutters take a fair amount of pressure to work well.

The Pocket Pal made short work of the bad edge, with the carbide sharpener actually pulling some slivers of steel (ATS34, if you care) off the edge. The ceramic tool then put a pretty nice dress on the blade. The spur took care of the serrated edge in no time!

I then took on the kitchen knives. They were in good shape, but I figured I could get a dressed edge. Well, the Gerber kitchen knives (6 and 8-inch) and the various blades in the Wustof set took only a few strokes, and they are REALLY SHARP! (as my wife tells me).

Two cautions: Use a newspaper under the PocketPal when you use it on a table, to avoid damaging the table or the blade. Second, when you use the spur, be very careful of your angle, as the spur is fairly aggressive, and you can really mess up the serrated edge.

A great little tool; well worth the money!

I'm not too sure about the 'Pocket' part though. It's a good sized (almost 3") tool.

Necessity

I do not know how I have made it this long without this little bad a$$. It is fast, effective, and very affordable. Are there better sharpeners out there? Yes..For this price and size? NO. I have it on a key chain and can put a fine edge on any piece of steel in just a few strokes. I love it, and will be buying them for years to come. My only concern with this item is the plastic. I dont know how long the case will hold up, but I am not too worried as I am very pleased with the quality already.

Didn't work

We were super excited to buy this stud finder, because like most reviewers, we have lath and plaster walls. Unfortunately, this just did not work for us. Not sure why our lath and plaster is different, but it only stuck to one place...and I know we have more nails that that. Just not a sure thing.

Works Great - Wall Mounted TV and Guitars

I've wall mounted three large HDTV's with the help of this little thing! About ten guitars too, this stud finder works for me. These are powerful little neodymium magnets, if someone has a pacemaker I'd probably caution against them personally using this as neodymium magnets are said to possibly interfere with pacemakers.

The Last Stud Finder You'll Buy

I can't really add anything to the other reviews, just wanted to register my vote for this astonishingly clever little gadget. You might be able to build something like it yourself with rare-earth magnets, but by the time you added a built-in level and durable case, it would have made more sense to just buy this.
